"The drug barons are currently targeting Ghana making us a vulnerable nation hence we must toughen our national security at all our Airports. If Ms Ametefeh has been allegedly doing such manoeuvres since 2009 goodness knows how many of such people have used this method just because of their status in society as security around such people have been relaxed. No one can be trusted when it comes to such issues any more as our security is at stake. We should not even allow the VVIP section security to be relaxed so that unscrupulous people take advantage of such freedom afforded to them in the wake of this saga".

These Arabs don't have respect for black people at all. Their discrimination against blacks is not seen as racism at all. They don'r consider black Africans as part of human race. There not a single Arab who thinks of you black African as a human being.

Ghanaians are very impolite, stubborn and so undisciplined they think they know more than any other people in this world. This is what happens to those with this kind of mentality. Personally, I have been saying this long ago that NO ONE, especially ladies should go to the Middle East because Arabs, though they continue trumpeting the idea they are good, are the worst form of humans in this world and no one, or others who are not muslims. You go there, you go to your own risk.
Now, Ghanaians want the government to use the scanty resources to go bring back home 2000 fools?

You see, that's why I believe Ethiopians are more of HUMAN THAN OUR LEADERS. When a video surfaced showing Ethiopian women being abused by these barbarians, the Ethiopian authority did not back peddled due to loans/grants from these so-called rich barbarian Arabs. They sent planes to bring their daughters home because the faces of those women regardless of their class and education still reflected that of their wives, daughter, mothers and sisters.
The pimp mentality of our leaders whether being pastors or politicians made it easy not to feel the pains of our females. Yes didn't we pimp for loans without any shame?

Why should Ghana Government spend the little resources it has to bring these women back to Ghana? Mr Ato K, please you are very wrong.
All those people writing for the Government to act are NOT thinking properly. The first question, did the Government had the knowledge of these people travelling? No. What were those people purposes of going over to Middle East? Did they took the time to learn about these so called Middle Eastern countries? I am definitely not so sure. We live in the 21st Century, where learning about things and situations are key to progress.
It does appear Ghanaian women will do anything to reach high up and make some bucks, this irrespective of consequences. Intelligent people(women) all over the world do not act the way these Ghanaian women are doing and it is really sad and pathetic on Ghanaian people to even think the Government owes them a DUTY to always rescue them fro overseas when they are in trouble. I believe this is an African Mentality.
Obviously, and supposed to say these 2,000 women had reached their various Middle Eastern countries and got pots of gold, will they phone home to tell the Ghana Government? Certainly No. These stranded women clearly made a choice or individual decisions to travel, so their returning to Ghana MUST NOT be an issue for the Government. The Ghana Government has too much on its plate for the very poor in the country. Than to turn its attention to these women who had travelled out to seek their own comfort and riches elsewhere overseas.
I am 100 percent behind any Government decision to specifically protise the need of the whole country than a few people.

A Ghanaian guy goes into a bar in the American area of Kuwait.
Effia, the Ghanaian barmaid takes his order and notices his Ghanaian accent.
Over the course of the night they talk quite a bit.
At the end of the night he asks her if she wants to have sex with him.
Although she is attracted to him she says no.
He then offers to pay her 200 dollars for the deed.
Effia is traveling the world and because she is short of funds she agrees.
The next night the guy turns up again and after showing her plenty of attention throughout the night he asks her if she will sleep with him again for 200 dollars.
She figures 'in for a penny in for a pound' - and it was fantastic the night before - so she agrees.
This goes on for 5 nights. On the sixth night the guy comes into the bar.
But this night he orders a beer and just goes to sits in the corner.
Effia is disappointed and thinks that maybe she should pay him more attention.
She goes over and sits next to him. She asks where he is from and he tells her Tema Ghana.
"So am I." she says, "What suburb in Tema? Community 5 ?"
"Kodjo Mensah," he says.
"This is unbelievable," she says, "What number?" he says "Number HN 20"
"you are not going to believe this," she says, "I'm from number 22 and my parents still live there."
"I know, your father gave me $1000 to give to you!"

I am in the UAE working as a teacher and I must say working as a maid or a construction worker here is tough. I will not advise anyone out of frustration back home to travel to any part of the middle east for such jobs. Unfortunately, there are unscrupulous agents who are promising our youth good jobs here. It's a total lie. I met one Ghanaian guy at a hotel and we exchanged numbers and became friends later. He broke his back due to heavy lifting at work and the company initially didn't want pay his hospital bills. They later changed their mind when we threatened they would be hearing from our lawyer. This guy was no longer capable of returning to his work as he was advised by his doctor not do jobs that may demand lifting heavy objects. In the end he had to go back home with nothing plus a broken back.
My advise to anyone seeking to come over here is to think twice. You are hardly protected by any law.
I hold a british passport and have been employed as an expat so my case is different.

The fact that these women might have ignored an existing alert from the Government to stay away from those Countries, does not necessarily absolve the Government of its responsibilities to save their lives.
Our Missions in those Countries are for the sole and ultimate purpose of preserving and advancing Ghanaian lives both at home and in those Countries.
If the reasons for not helping these stranded Ghanaians principally reside in our lack of funds to do so, that must be specifically addressed. Just announcing to the Public that the Government has no plans to save the Women does not explain or offer the Government's reasoning or justification for doing nothing.
If we were up and ready to save those who were stranded in Agege, some decades ago, we must not diminish that national will to do the same for these Women, with some hollow reasoning.
Even in the case that the Government does not have adequate funds to undertake such a rescue mission, it could show its intent to do so and solicit the general Public for financial and other logistic help to rescue them.
We must cherish the lives of these Women, just as we did those Citizens we rescued from Agege, even though the level of atrocities feared to be hanging over the heads of the former might not appear as huge. Situations like this often deteriorate fast. And we must act quickly to avert the worst case scenario. I am afraid if the perpetrators of harm to these Women realize the Women have no way out, and have been abandoned by their Government, the culprits would treat them even worse.
However, while waiting for a substantive high-level Executive response to this request by the Women, we must all pray to the various global NGOs that often deal with situations like this for their inputs.
The Media must highlight the Women's situation and keep selling it to the World to pressure the Governments of those States to directly intervene to get the Women to safety.
President Mahama should not sit on the sideline on this. In fact, if I were him, I would capitalize on this situation to redeem my reputation by organizing a dramatic rescue mission of some sorts. Hey, it could be as simple as negotiating with the Governments of those States to do more to ensure the safety of the Women. Or, as dramatic as hiring 'Special Contractors' to extract these Women out to safety quietly, one by one.
We must not belittle the task involved here, though. The fact that the Women are not in one particular location or Country presents its own challenges.
May the Good Lord help to save them all!!
Just as the sages say, 'if we are admonishing the Cat to refrain from preying upon the Stock Fish, we should as well advise the Stock Fish to limit its fumigation of the air with its stench or odor' ( Some folks replace the 'Stock Fish' and its 'odor' in this saying with the 'Mouse' and its
flagrant, excited, boisterous scrimmages all over the place). That is to say, our Women must listen to good advice from the Government to stop putting themselves in harm's way like in this case, even as we entreat the Government to save them.
Long Live Ghana!!!
