  Those same people setting criteria for democracy are the worst dictators. Leaders of USA, UK, France etc have no regard for democracy, yet they claim to be democratic. You get an award for bootlicking, not for any achievement. Puppets and their puppeteers at work. They have the same agenda to make African feel he always has to answer to them.

  The only African leader who I think could qualify to take the Mo Ibrahim award was President John Agyekum Kuffour of ghana 2008-2012. He qualified but for the President but Rawlings Worked from behind against Kufour. Though he was refused he moves about his bussiness with respect.

  Whilst many are dying of hunger and homelessness starring the face of majority of Africans, Mo Ibrahim chose the part of rewarding individuals who are already rich. He does this to win contracts from serving head of states and presidents so that after their tenure they can receive their share of bribes openly with a more glorified name (PRIZE)
  
  However, Bill Gates has chosen the part of assisting the majority poor and the underpreviledge in Africa and the world as a whole without expecting any contracting from any one.
  
  This is clear manisfestation of how greedy and backward the blackman is still from the whiteman.
  
  God help Africa.
