Bad leadership in Ghana was started by Nkrumah. In fact all our problems started with him. Nkrumah was a dictator and very ambitious. He introduced one party rule in Ghana and made himself life president. He was neither caring, compassionate, visionary, smart nor politically savvy. Most of the things he took credit for had been started by the British, our colonial masters. For instance Tema Motorway was on the drawing board when he took over and Akosombo Dam was not his brainchild. KNUST was established by Asantehene and the British. Surprisingly, most of the things he takes credit for were never initiated by him
Independence, for instance, was sought for by many and achieved under the aegis and cunningness of Kofi Nwiah, trickster and schemer extraordinaire. Well, all along I have been asking how and under what circumstances "Francis Kofi Nwiah" was able to change his name to "Kwame Nkrumah". I know that it is permissible for anybody to change his name anytime he or she wishes but it is strange and beyond comprehension for one to change his birthday from Friday to Saturday ie from Kofi to Kwame. This is what makes me suspicious of Kofi Nwiah or Kwame Nkrumah. He claimed that his date of birth was 21st September 1909. This day according to the 20th century Calendar was a Tuesday!!! So was Nkrumah born on a Tuesday, a Friday or a Saturday? We must find out what he was up to with all these very strange findings. He was indeed cunning and only preyed on the emotions of the Ghanaian masses. It was my wish that the president would set up a committee to investigate before declaring Nkrumah's "unknown" birthday a holiday.
When he took over we had trade surplus running into millions of Pound Sterling but when he was forced out we had a trade deficit of several million pounds sterling!! This was the result of bad governance. He should have been overthrown earlier than 1966. We all saw good governance under K4. To me K4 is the best president Ghana has ever had. Kuffour is the greatest. We thank Kotoka and Afrifa for stoping the dictator in his tracks. Ayekoo Kotoka and Afrifa. The Kotoka Air Port should never be renamed

Ghana epitomises much of the best of Africa, but also throws into relief the tragedy of the continent. It has maintained its higher education and has fewer extremes of wealth than elsewhere. But at independence in 1957, Ghana was richer than Argentina, Brazil, Malaysia or Singapore. Today, those countries are at least ten times as wealthy.

If J.B Danquah hadn't been born at all patriotic Ghanaians would've still overthrown Kwame Nkrumah with or without the help of CIA because, his leftward tendencies had reached a point of no return. The Guy was a red sickle communist of Stalin, Pol pot and Idi Amin type of human being.
Every Ghanaian cursed the day that this cunning, dishonest man was invited to join the UGCC as its secretary and he proved to be the mother of all traitors in Ghana. It was, therefore, legitimate and even desirable to get rid of that callous, one party state and president for life communist dictator. And I congratulate Kotoka and his friends once again for securing our true independence (after Nkrumah had hijacked the first one) and delivering us from the grips of Nkrumah; one of the most dangerous human beings that ever lived on the African continent.

To overthrow those selfish Europeans out of Africa Kwame came to be seen as the White-man's Burden !!!
Ever asked yourself,Mahmoud, why for 500 years, the African Continent was infested by
-The British
-The French
-The Dutch
-The Portuguese
-The Germans
-The Italians
PLEASE KNOW YOUR HISTORY BEFORE YOU DISPLAY YOUR IGNORACE ABOUT THIS GREAT AND NOBLE AFRICAN.
Take some time and read books written
by Dr. Nkrumah (himself).FIND OUT HOW EUROPE SYSTEMATICALLY UNDERDEVELOPED BLACK AFRICA.
FIND OUT THE ECONOMIC-UNDERPINNINGS OF
NELSON MANDELLA's 27 YEARS IMPRISONMENT(NOT THE POLITICAL REASONS,please)....
AND CALLING KWAME A COMMUNIST,PLEASE ASK YOURSELF WHY MANDELA and THE ANC WERE ALSO BRANDED A COMMUNIST PARTY
FIND OUT WHY PATRICE LUMUMBA WAS SLAUGHTERED AND DRAGGED ON THE STREETS
(DUE TO BLOOD DIAMONDS)AND,WHY KWAME SENT GHANA'S MILITARY(Under this same General Kotoka)TO SAVE BLACK AFRICA'S
PRECIOUS METALS.
Pleas know your hisory:
The Nkrumah you call a Communist and a dictator believed Black Africa Desreved Better.
Nkrumah appealed to our best hopes, not fears. He left an important impression on the Continent.
And,as for you Mahmoud,a lot of who you are today stems from the free educational policies of this Great and Noble African(and you turn around to insult the very same man who gave you free and compulsory education,eh !
Dr. Nkrumah made our future the purpose of his life.He wanted Black Africa to succeed.
So,to assess Nkrumah's legacy you have to assess his passion for the African Continent.
AS A MATTER OF FACT, THE FEB.24/1966 FOREIGN INSPIRED COUP THAT UNSEATED KWAME,CHANGED HISTORY.IT WAS THE BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT IN BLACK AFRICA'S ADVANCEMENT/DEVELOPMENT

My question to the Nkrumah apologist is, when the British was leaving the Ghana, what did they handed over to Nkrumah? Was there any clause in what the British gave to him that includes the "forceful" unification of the continent of Africa? If yes, then I hope, they gave him money to do that but if no, then that is where I fault our first president in the sense that he used some of our capital to that useless, fruitless, foolish, reckless, irresponsible venture which brought nothing to Ghana. Imagine what he could have done with that money he siphoned to the formation of the United Africa nonsense. During those days, how united were we in Ghana where opposition has no say, then how much more the entire continent of Africa?
Nkrumah did pretty well but we should understand that he did not do that with his own money. That is an undeniable fact.
CPP on the other hand, has no assets in Ghana. Why? What was their assets before Nkrumah became the president? If they can put the state of their assets on paper pre-Nkrumah era then we will believe then but if those assets were acquired during the term of our first president, then they should just keep their mouth shut.

Pelicles, don't mind the mistake here and there since we are all guilty of such. Now, why my bother to you post, you may wonder! Well, have read a lot including yours that the British gave this and that to Nkrumah as if it was Britain's money that was left as a charity on behalf of Ghana.
Now, let me set the record straight once and for all for those out there that the said money in the Gold Coast coffers was in fact, part of the proceed from our own gold, cocoa, timber, bauxite and of course rubber they shipped offshore. So in principle, the Brits left us nothing but a peanut of our own money. Probably, that's what gave Nkrumah the vim to use that money at will to the benefit of the nation aside from wasting some unnecessarily on our sister countries, who knows!

The 1960 Ghana's constitution that was drawn by CPP and UP opposition did not create a room for a Vice President in it. It looks like the majority of you do not know what democracy. Even the capitalist say that democracy is about the ownership of the means of production and distribution. But since capitalism made some people wage slaves, then where is that democracy in which people can own means of production and distribution.
The irony also is that in 1966 by the constitution of the U.S. which organized and financed the coup the Negro was an animal less than the white man's dog. Thus today in the U.S. the white man's dog on pension is paid more than the Negro. If coups and yellow revolutions bring about socioeconomic development I am of the view that the U.S. should have tried revolutions over and over again. It also does not mean that countries with vice presidents do better than countries without them. Britain for instance does not have a president nor vice prime minister. When will people like you stop posting these absurdities.

I petty them and the whole nation because alot of are resources are going to be spent in the name of repubilc day celebration by our greedy leaders that we have given mandate to take charge of our affairs & rich resouces, They themselves knew that we do not trust them true when they were making vainful promises, We gave them the mandate not because we believe in All their lies, but because there is no one among them who is just, and we need a Leader.
In fact our beloved Country is free from colonial rule and opressions indeed, we have gain independent but why are we not self reliance, we still 90% percent dependent on foreigners,
This is because we do away with them and their disciplines principles toward things too. We have to go back and pick it if we really do not want to be dependent any longer and self reliant.
All Ghanaian look around you and see the uncountable rich resources and think about how they can benefit you and the entire nation.

Comrade Opoku Amaning, by this time your branch should have already vetted and produced a short list of nominees to stand for the parliamentary elections in your district and likewise the upper hierarchy should have done the same for the entire Eastern Region and the whole country. While it is essential to educate the people on the history of the country as part of our campaign work, this should not be our main focus. CPP needs to win parliamentary seats, and the time to start the process, the field work is NOW! Osagyefo taught us that "organization is everything"! Be inspired by the amazing Organizer that Osagyefo was. Shortly after his return in 1948, Osagyefo started and was producing TWO newspapers!!! In those days CPP did not have access to the colonial radio broadcasting system. But Osagyefo went from city to city, village to village, with others, to spread the truth about our situation and how we needed to struggle to free ourselves from colonialist slavery. I had not been born then but my elders have told me that even the uneducated market women got the message and wanted to be free of the European colonizer!
Organize to win the 2016 elections NOW. There is absolutely no difference between the NDC and the NPP. We have witnessed their equal greed and corruption. Ghana needs to FREE ITSELF FROM THE CORRUPTION AND CLUELESSNESS OF BOTH NDC AND NPP NOW!

He gave Money away to Guinea without parliamentary discussion or even a consultation with his minister of finance and when Gbedemah the minister for finance complained he had to run away for daring to disagree with the almighty. He would not even have a vice president because he thought he owed Ghana and his inability to countenance competition destroyed him.
