Payless ShoeSource Inc. opens at Accra Shopping Mall

Payless ShoeSource, an international shoes retail shop has obtained franchise to operate in Ghana. At the official opening of the shop at the Accra Mall, Mr. Fadi Hammond, Country Manager of Azadea who cut the tape said Payless has the brands for women and children especially and they are selling the best of brands in the world. He hinted that the shop in Ghana is the first in West Africa and their targets are women and families. He said Payless has over 4,500 shoe outlets all over the world with Ghanaian who shop within the next few weeks benefiting from discounts. Khalil Khoury, Brands Manager of Azadea expressed that it is important to acquire durable and quality at an affordable price as they studied the Ghanaian economy before deciding to invest in this part of Africa. Michael Drumm, Franchising Operations Manager of Payless ShoeSource Inc said Ghana has attracted the international market and they are glad and proud to open two outlets in Accra. Very much enthused with the Ghanaian hospitality, he adviced women to make Payless their preferred choice of buying quality shoes that are affordable. “We have all sizes for women, children and men who love style” he told yours truly. Among the star guests at the launch was elegant Peace Hyde who was presented with a voucher to shop to the cost of 700ghc. Stanley Tumawoo, Shop Manager of the West Hills Mall branch who was impressed with the turn out at the Accra Shopping Mall said they have other products like bags, scarf, socks, rings and bangles for ladies. Introduced into the Ghana market in October last year, Tumawoo feels they are yet to be known and very soon Payless will be the told of the town. Some of the popular worldwide brands of shoe that can be found at Payless include Dexter, Hunter’s Bay, Champion, Air Walk, Lower East Side, Cross Trekke, City Sneaks and Comfort Plus among others.
