OK, thanks for the info. So my alma mater, which had 5000 students when I went through its walls and now has more than 40,000, is adding another "college" to itself and expanding ever. Oh, rather going back to take what rightly belonged to them which they left in 1950 - a year in which Prof Aryeetey (aka Blackman, born 1955 - and my own course mate at the Econs Dept of the same university) was not in existence.
But what is the purpose of this piece? I guess that's why people aren't commenting. They don't know if it's a news item or a commentary. They want to know if the writer simply thinks its a good idea or not to have the college of education. But we don't know the writer's stand.
