They represent less than 15% of the population but probably represent about 40% of his appointees. Such behaviour gives ammunition to the bigots in other tribes who want to stir things. Is it not a fact that Akans are the majority tribe in Ghana and the resources of the country Ghana, happen to be located in specific regions? If it is true the voice is Osafo Marfo's, he was simply telling people about things that are factual in an organized party meeting. The said voice did not ask the regions mentioned in the tape, to vote for him in a presidential election. Contrast this with what President Mahama said about he being a Northerner, when on the campaign trail, and therefore, his people of the north should vote for him. How often have not the Ndc tagged the NPP as an Akan party? So, what is the big deal? Now that the Ndc realize that they have over blown the Akan tag and it is hurting. They are employing a diversionary tactics with the intention to dwarf the problem they have brought unto themselves.

Ken Agyapong, an NPP renegade has said Ashantis should rise up and kill Gas and Ewes. And I am sure given the chance he will. And he is still a member of the NPP. The so called elders have not condemned him or reprimanded him. It is only logical to conclude therefore that they are all in tacit agreement with this proposition. In the UK even if a white person gets up to say "kill all blacks". He will be duly arrested by the police arraigned before a judge and be given a very stiff 5 year sentence without mercy. But here in Ghana we allow potential murderers roaming around as politicians, political parties planning to distort democratic discourse in Ghana who encourage descent and unlawful behaviour. And we do nothing!? That buffoon should have been thrown out of NPP long time ago!

If you are truly a national party please please sack these two renegades who have brought your party into disrepute.

Recent events have shown me without a doubt that NPP is a fascist party run by 70-plus year olds with a huge grudge against the rest of other tribes in Ghana They erroneously think that the streets of Ashantiland is paved with gold and that all the cocoa come from their area therefore have the God given right to rule us. What nonsense!!!

In the first place the gold is extracted by machines and expertise from abroad (not invented or manufactured by Akans ) bought with Ghana money and mined by all Ghanaians for the benefit of all and shipped from Ga (Accra) to the rest of the world. Remember gold underground is not wealth !!!

The cocoa was brought to Ghana by a Ga called Tetteh Quarshie without which Ashantis will be no where.

Incidentally Cocoa and Gold only form 10 percent of Ghana GDP so how can you claim to have over 90 percent of Ghana's a wealth???!!!
Gold underground is not wealth. Gold deposits have been discovered in the Accra plains but Gas don't boast about it!!!

So please tell your now discredited so called politician Osafo Marfo he is as wrong as can be. Any Akan who believes what Mr Marfo said is living on cloud cuckoo land. The Ashantis suffer from delusion of grandeur.

I plead with all normal thinking Ghanaians to see the NPP for what they really are: A fascist, divisive, arrogant, tribalistic, provocative, party which can not unite but rather sowing the seed of tribal hatred and if left unchecked will engulf Ghana in flames and it will make dumsor or look like tea party. Krobo Edusei's sister, a baker in Kumasi was stalked and put into her oven at dawn, when she was about to bake bread. An umbrella repairer of Northern extraction had his eyes gouged from the socket like a snail pulled from shell , all because he was a CPP sympathiser and not to mention the bombs, soda water bottles etc etc. They are full of hate.Cocoa, goal, diamond and other minerals are just part of the economy. Remember others lost their valuable lands as a result of the construction of Akosombo dam, which generates power. Compensation was not paid to some. Our food and livestock come from the north. No wonder Busia discouraged the extension of railways to the north, asking if such a project would be used to do better than transporting cattle. Busia also questioned the opening of Commercial Bank in Tamale, asking if groundnuts were to be stored there. Today, Mali, Niger and Bourkina Faso clear their goods from Tema and had the rail lines been extended to the north, Ghana Railway would have been in good business.

Have you asked your self whether tribalism puts food on the table,pays school fees,provide electricity all day,reduce rent etc etc.If you are a minor tribe and you will continue to be deceived this way then continue but those of us who discerning will not fall for this cheap things.if I may ask did npp provide NHIS,Free maternal health care,metro mass, youth employment etc for akans only. I was feel with owe and disgust to have heard such a brazen potentially divisive tribal effusions from a man i hold in high esteem and respect for his achievements in various portfolio he held particularly the sports Ministries.The only major ethnic group probably that have not enjoyed any benefits associated with tribal solidarity and association definitely have to be people of Northern extract.It so because of the average northerner tendency towards destruction and sabotage of their own kind.Unfortunately we are also the ones usually at the receiving end of tribal segregation and discrimination.We cannot blame some Akans still deluded with precolonial mentality of superiority over certain tribes they feel are inferior to them, viewed as second class citizens.I am talking about Ewes and northerners.As it stands now the Ewes have developed a fierce insulation against tribal motivated attacks through a solid unity of communal assistance that ensured massive human resource development and socioeconomic gains.That is why the volta region though a dry land without resources compared to northern Ghana do not have 'Kayayoo girls',farmland porters, watchmen and fufu pounders in chop bars in various part of Southern Ghana.Osafo Marfo's comments though unfortunate from a respected statesman is a clear indication that some Akans including highly educated ones have very primitive tribal prejudice and sentiments particularly towards northerners.A good number of the founding fathers/leaders of the UP tradition giving rise to the NPP were northerners whose contribution to the party disappeared into oblivion for no apparent reason.A deliberate,malicious orchestration to disregard the contribution of key northerners like Chief Dombo by great Akan historians like Professor Adu Boahene is seen in what is often referred to as Danquah/Busia tradition until a recent rather lame admission albeit extreme difficulty of recognizing Chief Dombo with some tribal bigots still bitter about it.Truth said the UP tradition stood the test of time mainly because of northern stalwarts like Jato Kaleo,Chief Dombo,Chief Abiefa Karbo and Chief Mumuni Dimbie.Looking at the discrimination and open hatred some of us suffered in the hands of some Akan tribal extremists it is easy to conclude that same was done to these great northern men hence their natural extinction in the NPP.The NPP had no moral right to complain about the north being an NDC stronghold because they traditionally reserve the power to built a strong vote base in the north but for tribal prejudice and discrimination.The conduct of some Akans in public institutions and in general life towards northerners is adding to the suspicion and mistrust of tribal hatred.I heard about various tribal orchestrated sabotage against northerners ranging from public institutions to sports.I suffered it myself in the security forces.But i was shell shocked to have heard about what happened to a brother of mine who was pursuit right from his medical school days by some tribal bigots until he was finally sacked by the Ghana Health Service in an ethnic conspiracy in which his own brother Majority leader Alban Bagbin was used highlighting the destructive nature of the northerners towards each other as opposed to Ewes.The sacked young doctor as a medical student was once told by Dr. Akyem Apea-Kubi(former Eastern Regional Minister) that Medical school have now become a stepping doormat so much such that northerners now have easy access to it.He added that my brother should see it as a previlage doing medicine as a good number of his tribe mates are on the hinter lands farming.My brother suffered some harsh atrocities with glaring tribal hatred to the extent that there was a near attempt on his life saved by his room mates when tugs parading as soldiers were hired to murder him in his medical student's hostel midnight 2 a.m.He was eventually graduated following the incident but the tribal conspiracy persisted and followed him until he was dismissed by another Akyem Director General Ebenezah Appiah Denkyira .The chief psychiatrist who dubiously and fraudulently implicated him with a mental illness, Akwasi Osei to support his Akan cronies in Effia Nkwanata Regional Hospital in the western region also hails from the Eastern Region.The only northerner was Alban Bagbin the then Health Minister in which letters before and after his dismissal were copied to.Prior to his dismissal he suffered several derogatory remarks such as a dirty northerner and killed as roared out by the then Matron of the hospital ,Mary Hayford.He was called by names such as NDC man and Rawlings boy by no mean a person but the Medical Director of Effia Nkwanta hospital Dr Paul K Ntodi.In my view the only way the NPP can make progress in attracting souls to their party is to embrace tribal tolerance and respect whiles focusing on issue based politics not ethnic motivated politics.Persistent attempts to dehumanize and denigrate others because of their ethnic inclination will always be met with the fiercest of resistance as far as equal rights of all persons in modern day Ghana are concerned.That is why some Ashanti business women were severely battered by 'Kayayoo girls' when the sort to indirectly ridicule a northern president in the person of president Mahama by verbally attacking the poor girls.Even uncultured tribal motivated attacks by some very educated NPP MPs against the president is sometimes way below the belt.It is about time the NPP deal seriously with this precolonial mentality of tribal bigotry to attract particularly non-akan floating voters.The current government may not be performing so to speak but the NPP may suffer repercussions of retributive tribal politics irrespective of a northern NPP chairman in 2016.It is quiet clear from where i stand that the worse perpetrators of tribal violence and discrimination against northerners are the well educated Akans which i find rather bizarre and irrational.

At another time, no mean a person than the Minority leader of parliament made an outrageous claim that their party, NPP did not have any Ga member fit to be their Vice Presidential candidate. Then their Presidential candidate himself referred to the NPP as "yen Akanfuor" meaning "we Akans". All these mind-boggling statements were spoken without any protest or condemnation from within the NPP. It was not surprising that someone from the NPP questioned Dr Tony Audio what he, an Ashanti, was doing in the NDC or he didn't know that he was an Ashanti.
Osafo Marfo made his claims before NPP's highest decision-making body behind closed doors. What he said at the time sounded well in the ears of the NPP leadership. Had it not been leaked, there would have been no qualms about it.
NPP's true identity is only coming out clear and they cannot deceive anybody.
