The president has been saying that he tried to introduce electronic payment and acquisition systems into the public sector {to reduce human contact with cash} in his effort to fighting corruption, but lamented that the systems were often resisted.

This has become so monotonous that Ghanaians are beginning to wonder whether the president is actually serious and interested in fighting corruption as he claims, or it's just another crocodile's tears to deceive Ghanaians into believing that he is making an effort, while the government and its cronies amass billions of dollars at the expense of this struggling HIPC nation.
Why should Ghanaians hire a president that can't even introduce an electronic system successfully into the public sector to save us from criminals masquerading as civil servants? Mr. Mahama must be seen to be fighting corruption with all his might rather than go on lamenting helplessly like the rest of us who hired him to do the job.

We all know that most people vote on tribal lines so what is the big deal if Osafo tries to fire up his tribesmen? Mahama did the same in the North and that was fair too; and even the ticket configuration of both parties is based on getting tribal votes.
The NDC picks someone from the Central Region to break the front of the Akan votes and not because the candidates are competent or strong, and it has worked very well for them. The NPP tries to do the same with adding a Northerner to their ticket which in my opinion is stupid so long as you have a Northerner at the top of the opposing party’s ticket, because again of the way our tribal focus works. If NPP wants to be competitive then they should put a Northerner at the top (considering the current NDC ticket for 2016) or also put someone from the central or western region on their ticket. I think Bawumia should have been on the top of the NPP ticket, not because of the foolish tribal thinking but because he seems like a smart guy. But again how do you cure a mindset?
What is new? I think Osafo was just stating the facts with resource contributions from regions, which is not far from the truth. Until we get rid of our “tribal” mentality, we should not condemn those who are bold enough to say it public. I have no problem with truth, whether is from an Ewe, Northerner or Akan. It is called hypocrisy and dishonest if we bash people for exactly what we practice.

If honestly, there was such an NPP meeting, and there was a 'patriotic mole' who boldly recorded, and leaked that speech, the mole could give date and venue of the event, as well as mention some names of the audience

This is the time for the truth to be told. Rawlings and his AFRC/P-NDC gov't come into power talking about their house-cleaning exercise; they preached probity and accountability and executed some Army Generals, by firing squad, while some Supreme Court Justices and another Army Officer were murdered and set on fire.

In it all, they had a secrete agenda; they thought they should neutralize the Akan tribes people, who they perceived were dominating Ghana's businesses and everything. They did this by removing all Akans who held top gov't positions and replaced them with Ewes and other tribes; they confiscated businesses belonging to Akans, notably those affluent business people eg. International Tobaccos, belonging to B.A. Mensah, Tata Brewery, belonging to Mr. Siaw and Alpino Soap, for Mr. Appiah Minkah, just to name a few. Many homes and properties were seized by Rawlings and his henchmen.

Under the cover of their inposed curfew on the nation, they succeeded in carrying out their heinous operations in which all their targeted personalities were dealt with. T

Till today, many people, including Chiefs like the Aburihene, Nana Osae Ntifu II cannot be found by his children and family. Rawlings is bold to tell Ghanaians in recent times that they had to kill innocent people, as if he has the right to kill anyone he wants. Interestingly, the very people who accused others fo indulging in corrupt acts or practises are guilty of the same crimes, even in higher levels---I mean unprecedented levels, in Ghana's political or economic history!

Folks should remember that soon as late Prez. Atta-Mills was sworn in, Rawlings started instructing him about which group of NDC should constitute his cabinet or who Mr. Mills should chose as ministers, with exception of a few that the late Prez. chose. Almost every high gov't position or ministerial portfolio is being held by Ewes or other tribes, shoving Akans to the back bench. And interestingly, the NDC would turn around and accuse the NPP; they'll stand on rooftops and shout that the NPP is a tribalistic. Every Ghanaians has got the right to apply for and occupy any gov't position (high or low) provided he/she qualifies for such position. This wicked NDC plot is dangerous, it's divisive and counter productive to our dear nation.

As I've always pointed out, it's time for people to wake up and realise that such practise is dangerous to Ghana's development. Akans are friendly and caring; they'll extend a helping hand to friends and neighbours who may be in need. There are Zongo and Ewe communities in every Akan city or big town, like Asamankese, Akim Oda, Akim Swedru, Koforidua, Sekondi-Takoradi, Cape Coast, Kumasi, Ashanti Mampong etc. These communities have lived peacefully together in the midst of all hardships---through the coups---and national disasters.

The NDC has tried it many times by branding the NPP as tribalistic, using Nana Akufo-Addo's "all die be die" statement by playing it loud on the airwaves during their campaigns. They are still on it and this time the NPP should stand up and fight back!

In recent times, NDC's Nii Lantey Vanderpoije ordered his scouts to beat up NPP's Ms. Ursular Owusu and Abu Jinapor in Odododiodio constituency areas for reasons best known to him and his party alone. When asked, he said the area belong to him and the NDC and those victims had no business to be there. These are the very people who're going around telling Ghanaians that the NPP is against all other tribes. People will recall when the Ghana's Oil was found that the NDC started accusing Kuffour and his NPP gov't of a grand scheme to steal the Oil money. That's the reason why they used all means possible to wrestle their way back into power. in the 2008 elections, I made my point that the NDC will use foul means to oust the NPP. I was right!

Can any reasonable Ghanaians explain how Atta-Mills could win the second round of the presidential elections when Nana Akufo-Addo had won 49.3% of the earlier contest? This where the NDC, with the help of EC's Afari-Gyan devised their wicked tactics to overturn the next ballot. When Nana wanted to challenge the results, some of NPP's leaders prevailed on him to rescind his decision. In 2012 however, they saw the need to petition the Supreme Court when they had enough cause to believe foul play by NDC. The truth was that some disgruntled NDC members who had crossed carpet brought all the information to the NPP. These are facts and which the NDC cannot deny. They were shocked! The reason being that it was difficult to detect the irregularities esp. the pink sheets issue, over voting, bloated registry etc.

It's time for Ghanaians to stand up. Don't allow the NDC to confuse the electorate with this tribal card issues. They can see that their days are numbered; they're doing this out of desperation. Stand up folks and be wise!

Not quite long ago, a chief in the Krobo area in Eastern Region made a claim that his subjects will join him to vote for NDC anytime of election time. What caution was made to that chief not to use chieftiency institution to incite his people by this dummy - Omane Boamah? Just yesterday what did we heard about NDC
chairman Mr. Afedo in Ho central in Volta Region with his comments made to people in the region about their votes pattern? Has Omane Boamah closed his ears about that comment?

It is time Akans of all groups think about their destiny and come together and forge one cause of action to safeguard our entity and interest at this present time and years to come for our future grandchildren. There is a diabolical agenda going on in the country to subdue the Akans who are of the majority and whose lands brings enough to the Nation's Economic Basket. Mr. Osafo Marfo do not owe neither anyone nor any group of people any apology if the said comments were made by him. E&OE.

Ghana is sitting on a timebomb if things are allowed to go the way it's going. The way to go is the British,Nigerian, South African and Canadian systems. The winner takes all will land us in chaos in the not far distance future. Elections of governors and district executives must be instituted. If this is the fears of people like Osafo will be allayed. For how can Shaman appoint only northners to man SADA when it is supposed to a national project. What Osafo Marfo is purported to have said may seem tribalistic but it's the bitter truth. The present "winner takes all" system does not urger well for peace. Ghana must begin to think real decentralization. Regions or provinces must elect their governors or prime ministers to govern them instead of putting power in the hands of one individual who thinks about only his party and tribesmen. Look at SADA, a national project turned into tribal enterprise. Many people fear that federation/provincial or states may bring about disunity. But that is untrue. Courtries like Gt Britain, USA, RSA,Canada and Nigeria are surviving as one country because of the systems of governance they have adopted. At the time of independence the population of the country made it uneconomic if not impossible to practise a strong decentralization. But things are different now. It is about time we did something about our way of governance. Nowadays brullient students are denied scholarships because of their names. Recruitement into the security services is all tribal. I think something must be done before it is too late.
