  We are now trying to think out of the box.Solar is the fasted short and long term fix to Ghana's energy problems and quit relying on rainfalls to get our Akosombo and Bui moving.Just check it out New Jersey in the United States is one of the States very far into Solar and other states such as Pennsylvania etc.are getting more and more into solar.Check with stores and companies such as Kohls they are all going Solar.A fact finding mission can be sent to the Governor of New Jersey to meet with him and other business tycoons who are already into solar and quit all those old excuses we have had with Akosombo.What we also have to understand government can not be a utility provider it has not worked and it is not working so why continue the same old old method and expect a new results.Privatization is key it sounds scary because we are not used to those terms we are only used to govt,govt but admit it has never worked long term.The moment is now seize it.

  If you look at the 5 cedi note you would see the picture of the Big six; so called because they were prepared to die for Ghana to achieve independence for which they were imprisoned. Of the six 3 were Akyems and a fourth was married to an Akyem who became the first lady.
  
  Why then do you hate Akyems?
  
  J. B. Danquah stood for president and was not successful. William Ofori-Attah stood for president and was not successful. Akufo Addo who is half Akyem has his story unfinished.
  
  Akyems make up more than half of the population of the Eastern Region. Today because of negative government developmental practices from independence some have become so proud that they can look at Akyems condescendingly.
  
  Over the last 100 years revenue from the Akyem-Akwatia Diamond mine, alluvial gold, cocoa and palm oil from Akyem have been used to develop the whole of Ghana including providing scholarships for some Ghanaians.

  All new public building should power half of their lighting with solar by 2017 all private houses two story high sho ...

  All new public building should power half of their lighting with solar by 2017 all private houses two story high should also have same 2017. individual houses should have same by 2019. his should be pass in parliament. government should engage a german solar manufacturing company to set up at free zone to manufacture the product in Ghana give employment and also export to neighboring ecowas country. with time it will be affordable when the market is established. we will all be winners.
