It beats my thinking the response made by Omane Boamah - quote "the contract for the rural electrification project was negotiated and approved by the NPP government, including the purchase of the cars to monitor the project".
From the article above, the deal started in 2007 and finalised in 2008 under incompetent NPP administration which was booted by the electorate and voting competent NDC administration who seeing nothing wrong with the deal went ahead to order these cars which were not part of the resolution that was approved by Parliament in August 2008. Do we have people of integrity among us running our government these days? Omane Boamah should not come with his nonsense argument which does not fit his sense of thinking.
Why did Dr. Oteng Adjei failed to raise red flag about the inclusive of the said cars if they were in the contract when he renegotiated the contract again in 2009 when the competent NDC party had then taken over the adminstration? Omane Boamah is a BIG LIAR. NDC officials intentionally included the cars in the deal with the main objective that after their term in office, whoever in possession of such cars would buy it at a discounted price as have been the long standing unstopable deals among Ghana government and public sector officials. No trusted officials in our mother land. E&OE.

If you look at the 5 cedi note you would see the picture of the Big six; so called because they were prepared to die for Ghana to achieve independence for which they were imprisoned. Of the six 3 were Akyems and a fourth was married to an Akyem who became the first lady.
Why then do you hate Akyems?
J. B. Danquah stood for president and was not successful. William Ofori-Attah stood for president and was not successful. Akufo Addo who is half Akyem has his story unfinished.
Akyems make up more than half of the population of the Eastern Region. Today because of negative government developmental practices from independence some have become so proud that they can look at Akyems condescendingly.
Over the last 100 years revenue from the Akyem-Akwatia Diamond mine, alluvial gold, cocoa and palm oil from Akyem have been used to develop the whole of Ghana including providing scholarships for some Ghanaians.

The journalist should stop the corruption campaign and close the disagreement. It is simple, The AG can make a mistake. All it takes to close the disagreement is to ask for the documents from parliament and publish it. I am surprise both the NPP and the government are failing to publish the contract. One may argue that the journalist may not get the document due to the failure of the house to pass the RTI bill.
The American company can provide that. By the way I will be surprised if the contract has no car component.

when you took over, you reduced the amount by GH50million and that was why many more villages and towns could get electricity. Why did you not in the same vein cancel the cars and save Ghana of the billions of dollars.

NPP negotiated the deal and approved it. The NDC revealed the said contract and still kept those vehicles at all cost.
So why u all blaming each other. U are all thieves and your time will come.
A time is coming when there will be no NPP nor NDC and all your crimes, stealing, lies and brainwash on poor superstitious Ghanaians will be punished ACCORDINLY.
A country like Ghana in 2015 and people go hungry to bed and poor malnourished children and politicians are driving in Lexus 4x4?
1.74 million dollars on vehicles? Do those people who gives out those loans with the attachments really knows the level of poverty in Ghana?.
Its a shame.
