Afriyie Ankrah looted and upon uttering the famous words "open sesame" in the story of Ali Baba and the 40 thieves, he was gleefully welcomed into the grotto of Ghana's economic collapse, described by Prof. Amoako as the den of criminals.
Adu Asare is also in there so it's no surprise he's defending Mahama Ayariga.
Besides the record is clear. The Mahama-led NDC gov't is thieving the resources of the state and the evidence is there to support this position.
The Supreme Court has given it's verdict of a number of such cases, and incidentally, a former Attorney General Martin Alamisi Benz Kaiser Amidu-Citizen Vigilante was forcefully shoved out, when he suffered a bout of consciousness and resolved to stem the tide of wanton thievery by the Mahama-led NDC gov't. It never happened and today, Ghana is in a financial and economic catastrophe and chaos. So what is Adu Asare going on about?

I was listening to that boy called Felix Ofosu Kwakye on Asempa fm Yesterday just running his mouth, that they have signed this power agreement, that power agreement just mentioning over 10 agreements. To the NDC having signed so many power agreements they have done well they are solving the problem. Useless NDC government l was asking myself having all those powr agreements where is the power. When a similar thing happened under Prez Kuffour which was even purely due to low water level at the Akosombo Dam, we saw how they moved with speed to solve the problem and so it not last over a year. But this has lasted for 3 years and they are now signing agreements when companies are collapsing. They are just thinking of power how to deceive the electorates with we have done this we have done that so that they can still get political power, instead of sitting to think of solutions they spend time on how to communicate the issues or do propaganda to deceive Ghanaians.

The Mahama administration has to do something about this energy crisis immediately to salvage what is left of the Ghana economy.

The policy of finding a lasting solution for the power rationing problem that has been with us since Rawlings decided to extend electricity to every village is laudable but you are not going to have a child to bequeath your wealth to if you starve him to death now and that is what this government is doing.

We have to have a short term policy to address the immediate demands. Why not use the Kufuor generators you call toys that can immediately bring 125 megawatts to the system that can immediately solve the health care facilities and industrial demands? Npp and Kufuor administration used them to solve our short term problems.

The problem is that this administration is not telling Ghanaians the truth. The government has no money to buy gas to power some of the plants that can bring this problem to manageable point even with Akosombo, Bui and Kpong dams low water level problems.

Also the critique, Papa Jerry is very silent about this. If it was Kuffour or Mills' time, he would have been in the media always talking about that. Yet, he is largely responsible for the Dumsor. You cannot provide electricity to every village(which they also deserve) without making provision for the future but for political expediency. I wish Ghanaians know the reason why B'Faso constructed a dam on the Volta. Yes, to those who don't know, the agreement between them and Ghana was for Ghana to provide them with some electricity so they do not dam the Volta. Jerry renegated on that agreement. That is why they built that dam and the water level at Akosombo and Kpong is always low to generate the needed electricity.

I honest believe some Ghanaians (and this goes for both parties) but in thsi case applies to NDC, would rather the country fail and "be in power" than not.

I won't be surprised if Mahama stays in 2016 because of lax attitudes or election fraud. Ghanaians will watch the country collapse, even if they knew that the country needed a change amnd then cry on Ghanaweb, until 2020.

Some people will come and question how genuine the story is. The elephant in the room is that Ghana’s economy (which small businesses are a life blood) cannot cope with an inconsistent power supply.

How much more costs are being incurred by this? You can only budget for so much additional fuel/generator costs and the lack of policy/firm idea of when this will end by the NDC means businesses will start to take their own action.

If they can afford to run generators continuously for the next how many months or years then lucky for those companies....most cannot, so face a choice between going out of business or cutting expenses – which means staff numbers.

There needs to be a cross party solution to this issue, so that issue of energy is dealt with for Ghana not for the benefit of one’s party. Problem is that Ghanaian politicians are short sighted and the electorate are even more short term.

Even with all the so called NORTH-SOUTH Divide and attempt to bridge that divide, nothing positive happens in those regions. Please vote wisely.
