Or is the government going to behave as father christmas? Successive Ghanaian governments have not taken a comprehensive long term approach to resolving the energy needs of Ghana and that is why we find ourselves in this conundrum They use quick fixes just to con the people to vote for them close to elections.

the cost of producing energy will not be greater than purchasing new barges, purchasing fuel (however cheap) to operate them. It seems as if people like you and the government dont analyze things to reason. Its quite sad.

You cannot make any meaningful contribution to this topic, except to tell lies. Where did Kuffour build a hotel for his daughter and what kind of kickbacks did he receive at the Castle. Crazy people like you would construct stupid lies and pass them on to your "boom-boom" founder and leader of party Mr. Rawlings so he may burst out on the airwaves and declare Kuffour as corrupt.

AFRC/P-NDC seized power through the barrel of the gun, accusing many Ghanaians of corruption; they killed Army Generals, judges and innocent Ghanaians. Rawlings and his PDCs, CDRs WDCs and cadres harassed people; they slapped women in the streets, stripped them naked in the market places, confiscated assets, businesses, factories of innocent Ghanaians all in the name of their so-called revolution. Now what do we see? Everything is in a mess. I've always pointed out the revolution wasn't necessary. Just because Rawlings lined up some people and executed them by firing squad could not achieve any goals. And the evidence is there for all to see.

The crimes and corruption that's going on in high gov't circles by NDC apparatchiks is unprecedented! The Woyome, SADA, GYEEDA and ISOFOTON economic crimes attest to the fact.

Thanks to the hard work and vigilance by StarrFMonline.com crew this dubious transaction would have been carried out under darkness. NDC is "Sasabonsam Party" which must be removed from office before they cause more problems for Ghanaians.

The reason behind this crazy act is that the NDC want to wipe out any traces of NPP's efforts and initiatives which ex-Prez. Kuffour so painstakingly put in place in a long anticipation to prevent the on-going power crisis.

The NDC started telling lies to Ghanaians that Kuffour didn't do anything and that the current power crisis could be blamed on him when things started getting from bad to worse. So had they succeeded in shipping out those power generating equipment, purchased by Kuffour's gov't, it would have helped them [NDC]to tell more lies since there wouldn't be any proof or traces of any of Kuffour's legacy or initiative in this regard. What a shame!

NDC always have wicked agenda in mind and it's so pathetic to note! Folks shouldn't forget what I've always pointed out that; NDC's now-Ambassador to the Netherlands, Tony Aidoo once said that: "the NDC won't continue with any projects initiated by the NPP, because for him "people might say that they [NDC] don't have any ideas of their own, towards nation's development" and that's why we are experiencing this ugly power and the horrible economic hardship in the country today.

Meanwhile the "Dum-sor dum-sor" crisis is crippling businesses both large and small, while things continue to fall apart for Ghanaians. It's time to remove the NDC from power before they cause any more damage.

Let Ghanaians conserve energy to help solve the problem partially. If airconditioners are replace with fans in this crisis, we shall have no problems
