I strongly opposed that view for the Honourable Minister to apologize to the akward self imposed journalist "Kwame Sefakyi". He Kwame must apologize to the NDC party and its sympathizers for the gross disrespect they had from him for all these decade. NDC is tired of how this stupid " Sefakyi " is toiling with the NDC party to do his dirty and arss kissing job. This foolish boy with his Fake and fixed award winning has NO respect on his show for the members of NDC, have you heard this guy playing any other Music apart from his masters Music? He "kwame" even feeling ashamed to speak his FATHER's language EWE at that studio. Shame on him.

The wind regime in Ghana is generally poor except probably in very few areas in the Volta Region.
This can successful at a much higher elevation which means the cost of installation would be high. Nevertheless, wind can be considered, but not strongly. Solar is also a good option largely because of the Northern parts of being a better place for that. Even in the south, it can be considered for street lighting, phone battery charging centers in rural communities and so on. Biomass should be considered for all domestic heating and cooking in several communities as the resources are diverse and huge. No one is talking about it now but our forest is rapidly reducing. I strongly suspect that in 10 years time, we shall experience desert in the North of Ghana. It is not a joke all. Some countries in Europe had most of their trees used as firewood for heating for centuries, but they are not experiencing deserts as they should, Why?. Because they have foresight.

Dr Manteaw has hit the nail on the head. Conventional thinking is constraining development of the Ghana Energy Sector. It's time we rethink the strategy (if any ) on energy development; appropriate mix of energy sources - renewable and non-renewable - is a would be a good start. Thank you dr Ameyaw for the brilliant suggestions, which I employ the GEC to take seriously

I'm really at a loss. Can somebody tell me why UCC is rather busy talking energy, oil and gas and going into medicine when its mandate was to produce human capacity for education? Our universities seem to be confused from the onset and so churn out confuse results. Knust which should have had strong base for science and technology is busy running business , accounting and law courses while my alma mater Legon is running nuclear energy, geology, fisheries oceanography etc. We are not serious as a country. Each varsity should have focused and have a " unique selling point"
