“In the last six years, the NDC has borrowed US$27 billion. Before that, we, the NPP, borrowed a total of US$5.5 billion in eight years. Compare that to the NDC borrowing $27 billion in six years and ask yourself what they have done with all that money,” the running mate to Nana Akufo-Addo said.

He said, though a lot more money has been spent, it is a paradox of economic management that this level of excessive spending has only led to greater hardships being visited on the people.

“NDC inherited a public debt stock of GHS9.5 billion in 2009,” the former Deputy Governor of the central bank said. “Today, Ghana’s debt has gone up to GHS65.7 billion. So when I say the stakes are high I am talking about the destiny of our country, Ghana, the future of the youth.”

“The NDC has been taxing everything, including condoms and cutlasses. In terms of resources, this NDC government has had more resources than any other government. We did not have oil. Yet, Ghanaians know what we did with the limited resources we had. We spent money responsibly to create the NHIS, introduce Capitation Grant, expand access to education, we spent wisely on infrastructure and built more roads than any other government,” he said.

They are used to what they have been doing all the time; this will be passed on to their children. This way Ghnana will never be develop or prosper. Almost all Ghanians travelling or living abroad, do not see what is in their vicinity. Because they bring their Ghanian life to Europe, Canada or USA etc. They are not even prepared to taste new food, other than Fufu, Ampesi etc. They don`t even see how quiet these places look nor do they see how tidy the place looks like, because they do not go out. Recently I visited some Ghanians, their homes look (VERY DIRTY) like they are living in either Lagos Town, Nima or some villages in Ghana. They are alway working hard to make money and goto Ghana and boost. This brings you no where, my dear fellow Ghanians. Open your eyes look around and bring such changes you see home to develop Ghana. Ghana can only be developed by Ghanians - no one else. Also FUNERALS are not the only funtion in this world. If you love your dead ones, burry them asap and do not put them in mortuary refrigeratorfor months and years.

An African poverty is white man's made out of the mentality and psyche of master-servant relationship with us. Now our global identified values of language, food, clothes, God, education, democracy, travel, etc. are now modified or re-invented after certain super humans called whites. I wish to type this comment in my mother's tongue (Fante) but Microsoft don't see it as important language to include in computers. How sad!

Even African histories now have chunk of them colonialism, apartheid, etc without much of our forefathers, who led in many discoveries and conquest that could positively charge our thinking.

Ever since the white came to us over tens of generations we after that have been followers whom whites have been thinking for. So who have been born in our generation today as really an African leader, bred an African leader and, acting as an African leader and has critical thinking? Is it Mr 'IMANI'?

The answer is simple, unless we African can identify ourselves with what's 'for' us other than what's 'against' us there could be subliminal model leaders plus thinkers like Nkrumah, Mandela, or hmmm....Qaddafi, etc who are still short of real leaders plus critical thinkers.

THIS IS ACCENTUATED BY THE MYRIAD OF CHURCHES IN GHANA FINANCED BY FOREIGNERS TO MAKE GHANAIANS DOCILE AND TIMID.

If there was a leader you must have seen leadership results. All those bunch of politicians, academia, pseudo-traditional rules, etc are not leaders. Which of them have really chalked a successful transformation in their own way other than imposition white man's life on us as the right way?

Ghana started the same time with Malaysia and others as you say come from mental and psychological defaults people like you 'auto-run' on. You are deceived to think, that the white man's God created the land Ghana and your ancestors 60 years ago. That's not true!

So you accept your 'beginning' starts with white man? How Sad! If you can detached yourself and others from your 'relative beginning' dished out from the white man, that's when you can think differently from Mr 'CEO IMANI' cum those bunch of 'follow me back' yardstick measure to who true African leaders can be.

By the way, your understanding of 'independence' is relative. Are you really independent? What way are you, it is because of the physical disappearance of white man in your human trading castles in Elmina, Cape Coast, Osu, James Town, etc. When did you learn to have an understanding of how 'your world' works without some white man's thoughts and instruction? Which of the WTO, UN, etc. laws which are some of the driving force behind the world's wealth creation were made by you (Ghana) for your own interests and benefits. You benefit because you sit in summits and sign papers? Example nuclear is bad, they don't want you illiterate Aikins get them yet they keep piling up daily, threatening and bullying people to give in to their demands.

Aikins just let you know that they keep you and your children in Ghana with visa barriers. You use your own land plus your children to farm cocoa, cotton, etc to fix food on white man's table, cloth them, and you go hungry after, whiles their children are in schools learning to continue to deceive you with 'comparative cost advantage' economics, globalization, international laws, etc that can NEVER change the course of your life and thinking. Look, can Ghana make aviation laws for the world whilst we don't manufacture aircraft? Even your own cocoa (but don't eat some), the laws Ghana make don't go beyond Aflao, Elubo, etc borders because you just a laborer and laborers don't make laws for masters. Is this your independence? Yes, because white man tells you that you are independent so you accept without thinking it? If you don't know get it from me that Africa is technically white man's farm and Africans are laborers on their own land. There is no master, no leader and I bet the mess you see around you is my witness. Unless you think differently with lessons from this short lecture, you can't be any different from those followers you call leaders.

Tell me, how differently could you live in this world without white man's imposition of standard life? If you can answer well this question, then you are the leader Ghana needs and that you can be the next president in 2016, no fail! Answer and take my vote right now. It is really a shame that far too many of us don't stop to think. I find it heartbreaking indeed to observe the unwitting sabotage of our nation and our own lives because, in my opinion, this is what avoidance of serious thinking amounts to.

All of us, especially our leaders, need to get as many people as possible to get really serious about serious thinking. It is not too late to acquaint - or reacquaint one another with the basic and the best in thinking habits and thinking skills.

If only we have the will to stop the blame games, the insults, and the suspicion, and focus truthfully to rediscover the causeways of thinking, there is no way our country wouldn't thrive once again.

Each of us and our family members mus invest time in serious, uninterrupted introspection and reflection.

The critical thinking I am talking about is the kind that is rational, informed, purposeful, logical and bias-free. One has to learn to be ever alert, ready to pay attention; constantly asking "Why? & Why not.?"

Such a way of thinking, .i.e. Serious Thinking, will definitely banish the bane of Ghana's woes.

Senior High Schools vrs Technical High Schools. the ratio is about 1000/1 everybody is training to become a manager. No wonder the Govt. is going to turn the Polytechnics into Technical Universities. Am wondering how this could be possible when we dont have technical schools. Or is govt. thinking that polytechnics are attended by technical students,thats not true polytechnics are attended by SHS students who could not make the University grades. They mostly do Aounting, maeketing, business, tourism etc. Are these courses technical? The technical schools are long dead in Ghana. with the coming of the educational reform in 1987 (jss). Even though the objective of the JSS was to shift from only head education to Head and Hand education.Today, even sports is collapsed. students only learn and do no longer practice. they do not play or work in the schools. what at all is the problem?
