Our score is 49%; foreign donors are witholding $600.00 million; Woyomi ,Adjaho, Mould etc etc iare walking freely on the streets and John Maaaama and his NDC are filling our ears with propaganda noise of fighting corruption. If you are fighting a good fight why should corruption increase day by day? Why should Woyomi,Mould,Adjaho etc etc walk freely on our streets? Why would international donors with hold our $600 million dollars? This is a sign of incompetence and lack of trust.Any true democratic leader will resign so Maaaaaaaama RESIGN ASAP..

This matter is a constitution issue and can only be addressed through a referendum.
Therefore do not talk as if you do not know the law.
What you are doing now is to provide an avenue for the illiterate NPP supporters to blame the government. President Mahama alone cannot effect those changes. CHEAP PROPAGANDA.

The Hon. Bagbin is right. Bagbin is dealing with the issue of corruption which, we can all agree, has plagued several administrations of our country. His suggestion should actually starts a conversation as to how best to curb this cancer that has worked to the detriment of our country. Unless we undertake such a conversation, we will never arrive at a concensus as to how to deal with the issue. There is, therefore, no reason to attack him personally for making a suggestion. It is alright to disagree with his suggestion, but do not attack him. Instead, focus on the issue and voice your suggestion. An ad hominem argument does not contribute intelligently to the conversation.
While I have disagreed with Mr. Bagbin on other issues, I think he is right in this instance. The only way to stem this growing canker called corruption is to vigorously prosecute the culprits. That requires the Office of the Attorney-General to be separate and apart from the Ministry of Justice so that it can be free of political influences. If such separation requires an amendment to the Constitution, then let us put the process in motion so we can do so. I encourage Mr. Bagbin to start this conversation in Parliament. There are many of us out here who will support him. By the way, I am not an NDC guy. I am just an attorney who thinks Mr. Bagbin has started a very interesting conversation.

The very issue of separating the Justice Department was raised a while ago with the Constitutional Review Committee, and their reason for not recommending and backing it was worrisome and not accepted by many. The committee failed to appreciate the essence of the proposal. However, events in the last few years in the country have Ghanaians clamoring for its consideration again. The separation of the Justice Department into something to include a Public Prosecutor's office is imperative.
At this point, the question is does the President have the constitutional right to make this happen? If yes, then what is the likelihood of this ever happening?

You are a respected kingpin in the NDC, and don't let your temporary setbacks make you say things like to spite your face. Il certainly return to haunt you.
Regarding "" constant "" shuffling of Ministers, it is sad that the morning shows the day""I am sure young Ablakwa Okudzeto will disagree with you on this point. Is yours a case of sourgrgrapes, having been a victim xourself? As I said, you are a respected senoir member of the Govt and the NDC. Please see the BIGGER picture.

For some strange reason, Ghanaians have a way of analyzing issues that makes one wonder whether we are unable to think outside the box. Mr. Segbafah, you may or may not agree with me, but currently the predominant discussion wherever Ghanaians come together is that the NDC administration under President Mahama is incompetent and corrupt. Whether that is true or not is a different issue. But to start a conversation by making a suggestion as to how to deal with a sickness in the community is not "cutting your nose to spite your face", nor is it something that will "certainly return to haunt you". There is nothing wrong in self-criticism. It is a good thing to look in the mirror once in a while and see what is wrong with your face so you can fix it. As I have stated elsewhere, Mr. Bagbin has made a suggestion that should interest anyone who has the best interest of the country at heart, regardless of one's party affiliation. Frankly, I am not an NDC supporter. I will rather support the NPP and be referred to as an "illiterate NPP supporter" by Mr. Simon Achaw in his commentary. As an attorney, I think Alban has made a very good suggestion with respect to separating the Attorney-General's Office from the Ministry of Justice. Let's think seriously about it.

Mr. Bagbin can't change the law of the land in midstream, without going through constitutional amendment.

Mr.Alban Bagbins concerns over his socalled frequent shuffling of Ministers etc is laughable. Fsct is most of these appointees lobby shamelessly for these jobs, knowing full well they have no clues to problems and viable solutions to them. For example, how can the new Minister of Power be talking about so called clean COAL AS POWER GENERATION SOURCE at this point in time instead of BIOGAS. SOLAR. WIND, WAVE etc esp when Ghana is struggling to free herself from the ""monster""called foreign exchange needed in billions of dollars to import crude oil to generate power. And Dr. Kwabena Donkor is busily pushing this hopeless agenda through Mr Cofie of VRA and others on the airwaves. If I were the President Mr.Donkor and appointees like him will not stay a day longer in their jobs. And there many other such appointees still at post. Mr. President, plesse fire any one who falls below expectation. They don't need two years to show their capabilities. Hon..Ablakwa Okudzeto, Fifii Kwetey, Omane Boamah, Haruna Iddrisu.George Simpa Yankey are examples of excellent performing appointees.
