It is only in Ghana would such a dishonorably idiot be on the government pay roll. Professor Mill should be solely blamed for imposing those criminals on us. After Mills found Betty Moulds guilty of judgement debt payments the only thing he could do was to move her to the Education dept to continue her looting. Readers would recall that Betty Mounds was the one who awarded SCHOOL building contracts at a triple price of the existing contract sum of some GH 80,000.00. And this happened at a time when they claim inflation was in the single digits. Could you imargin how foolish these criminal liars were. Kuffour built similar structures with 80,000 at a time when inflation was around 14.8% and under Mills it was 240,000 at a rate of 8.8%. And these buffoons turn around to blame the fall of the cedi on some mysterious dwarfs. I don't blame those African countries that have been ripped apart by civil unrest because if you have such buffoons in power who always turn our local elections into a West Africa one
by contracting Togolese Trokosis, Burkinabe and Wangaras from La Cote D'ivoire to vote for them, the " Road To Kigare", is sometimes, a likely option to kick their ass from power.

It would appear that those in control of the NDC, for the time being, were bent on excluding other bona fide members of the Party who may wish to lay democratic claims to who becomes the next flag bearer of the Party by excluding them even before the mortal remains of the demised President were interred. It is also symptomatic of how political party elites in Ghana and Africa worm their way into the confidences of persons perceived as likely to ascend to power positions for purposes of eventual personal economic gain at the expense of the generality of the mass of Party members and the Nation which every President swears to serve under the Constitution

It will never happened in my country. They even ride bike to work,. It sad and I feel so thinking wen would we learn well that leadership is to serve n not to be billionaire. The trust for leadership is gone out of many Africans, they can't deliver ... Talk too much and behaviour like a child. A western child will not even behaviour or talk stupidly like that. When Kwaku Baako informed us about the atrocities of Kwesi Pratt during PNDC Regime, some of us did not believe until the truth was confirmed during the NRC. Kwesi Pratt is the most dangerous Journalist Ghana had ever have, he had the gut to recommend his fellow journalists to be executed by PNDC. Pratt even recommended Baako to be killed by the regime, thank God Baako was instead touchered violently and severely but his life was spared. This is what Kwesi Pratt can do. Now Pratt is a secret agent to NDC and US Embassy in Ghana. May God forgive Pratt and spare him the untold evils that will come upon him and his generations. The souls of those journalist killed through Pratt's recommendations to PNDC will never forgive Pratt. Now Pratt has the guts to take Diplomatic Passport and smuggled his weak-headed children to work at the Ministries under Mills NDC, may God forgive Pratt and his dependance and spare them of the evils ahead of them...

"He,therefore, said no amount of procurement laws will help clean the system without people of integrity"
Sorry Prof, to disappoint u, there are no people of integrity on this land. So pls stop promoting that condescending cliché. Every Ghanaian is a crook.
I once lived in England. Every single shopkeeper has price tags on merchandise for sincere pricing. Any time u inquired about council tax, what u owe is the same whoever u speak to. Nobody tries to use their position to inflate the figure to pocket the difference later. And these are not rich people or church-going people. They are ordinary people who have bills and rent to pay.
What we find in Ghana is traders, workmen, bank employees, public officials, pol parties etc who are cruel to the marrow. After going for 'prayers' from their equally twisted pastors they try to swindle every single buyer, customer or client by doubling or tripling the true market price/charge.
This goes on in govt agencies, schools, banks, bars, public utilities etc. Try ordering electricity poles from ecg or extending water to ur home in accra and wait for what u hear from their crooked operatives! Try getting a drivers’ license. When somebody tranfers money to u and u go to collect it at the bank, u observe the cashier. He gives u the impression getting u ur money is difficult but he is trying hard to make it possible!
If u are new in the system, by the time u learn that there is not an iota of honesty and godliness in a Ghanaian, they would have fleeced u a fortune. And in their little minds god has answered their 'prayers'! It is pathetic!
The least said about the police, customs officers, land registry official, immigration officers, the better.
The truth is very explicit: Every ghanaian is a stealing, pilfering, robbing, burgling, mugging, swindling, conning, lying, theifing, murdering, 'Godless' scumbag!
I wouldn't vouch for 1% of Ghanaians. Tweaaaaa! Only Nigerians can be worse!

Dear Prof, Corruption is everywhere on this sinful earth. However, in some places they have managed to reduce it to the barest minimum such that it does not hurt national development. A critical research in any country where corruption has been defeated will invariably lead to leadership. There can be no corruption in a country if the leader of the country is not corrupt. It is corrupt leadership that breeds corruption among citizens. What we are seeing in Ghana is a state of avarice and gluttonous desire of the leader of the country to steal as much as they could within their times time. As soon as the leader becomes corrupt he looses his capacity and drive to check his appointees. The appointees also lose their authority to check those under them and down it goes. That is the reason why even a messenger in a government office today tries every trick under the sun to steal from his work place. Therefore the issue of corruption is not cultural but an issue of bad leadership. Until we get a leader who can say I am not corrupt, I have never been corrupt and I will never be corrupt and that I will hold every body under me to the fire if that person engages in any corrupt act, we are not going anywhere fast. A fish never gets rotten from the tail. It is always from the head.

Prof, God bless you so much for being bold and frank. In the 70s, even though I was very young at the time, I saw the amount of respect my senior brother who was in the university commanded. Everybody loved and cherished him for his personal accomplishments. But now, our society has become so materialistic that everything is about money irrespective of how you got it. How come every accountant in Ghana is rich, yet they are mere civil servants. We know the source of their filthy wealth yet we acclaim them as being successful. The same goes for the thieves at Customs. The late Atta Mills even observed this and asked: "how can a custom officer build a mansion after just a year or two of service"? But that's Ghana for you. Thieves are "worshipped" and hardworking teachers, nurses and farmers who worked genuinely and lived by their incomes are chastized as "failures". How come?

Is Ghana a country of "Church Goers" or "Christians" as we profess? Why do we not lead exemplary life as we read from the Bible? Our Preachers, Evangelists, and self-made Prophets preach that being materialistically rich is a sign that you have been blessed by our CREATOR other than that your prayers do not get to God. ...Why don't they preach against the theft and corruption we practice to enrich ourselves and donate heavily to our churches through all these ill-gotten wealth. Unless you a church goer, a good Christian would not steal because he sees others doing it. Luke was a medical pract- itioner of his time; Paul could have become the best Attorney General because of his unparalleled and brilliant legal prowess; but they did not put the pursuance of material things over spiritual well-being. Our Preachers, and the so called Prophets should lead their flock on Spiritual course but not on course of collision.
Yes, God blesses his servants with wealth, and there's nothing wrong with being rich; but he detests ill- gotten richness or wealth. There is a diference.

This is hard to stop because it has already eaten into every fabric of our society.People are no fools they can see it they are not blind because they the beginnings of various public figures and how they quickly grab within a short time and get rich with all kinds of properties so no amount of your talkings will convince them because if JJ and family have done it why not me,if Asiedu Nketia has done it why not me,if Totobi Kwaakye has done it why not me the list can go on because saw how all these fellows came empty but full now so they can open their mouths freely with impunity in sociey without shame and they don't any wrong doing. So be the judge yourself.
Adei, why do you think people fight for public office jobs?

prof you are right.ghanaians should question these people especially the mps.they are not in office to enrich themselves.is your tax money.police too, they have mansions too.
The only means to be rich in ghana without sweat or hard work is to become a politician, a pastor or drug pusher.
