It is only in Ghana would such a dishonorably idiot be on the government pay roll. Professor Mill should be solely blamed for imposing those criminals on us. After Mills found Betty Moulds guilty of judgement debt payments the only thing he could do was to move her to the Education dept to continue her looting. Readers would recall that Betty Mounds was the one who awarded SCHOOL building contracts at a triple price of the existing contract sum of some GH 80,000.00. And this happened at a time when they claim inflation was in the single digits. Could you imargin how foolish these criminal liars were. Kuffour built similar structures with 80,000 at a time when inflation was around 14.8% and under Mills it was 240,000 at a rate of 8.8%. And these buffoons turn around to blame the fall of the cedi on some mysterious dwarfs. I don't blame those African countries that have been ripped apart by civil unrest because if you have such buffoons in power who always turn our local elections into a West Africa one
by contracting Togolese Trokosis, Burkinabe and Wangaras from La Cote D'ivoire to vote for them, the " Road To Kigare", is sometimes, a likely option to kick their ass from power.

When Kwaku Baako informed us about the atrocities of Kwesi Pratt during PNDC Regime, some of us did not believe until the truth was confirmed during the NRC. Kwesi Pratt is the most dangerous Journalist Ghana had ever have, he had the gut to recommend his fellow journalists to be executed by PNDC. Pratt even recommended Baako to be killed by the regime, thank God Baako was instead touchered violently and severely but his life was spared. This is what Kwesi Pratt can do. Now Pratt is a secret agent to NDC and US Embassy in Ghana. May God forgive Pratt and spare him the untold evils that will come upon him and his generations. The souls of those journalist killed through Pratt's recommendations to PNDC will never forgive Pratt. Now Pratt has the guts to take Diplomatic Passport and smuggled his weak-headed children to work at the Ministries under Mills NDC, may God forgive Pratt and his dependance and spare them of the evils ahead of them...

Privatize ALL the government hospitals but 37 and the Police Hospitals, and strengthen the NHIS.
Privatization without any trace of anything government or the semblance of it.

Lord Tennison. Obviously you do not know what privatization means. I can almost vouch that you are a first generation educated person originating from the rural areas somewhere who sees the bright lights of former slave owning imperialist countries and jumps to the conclusion that we must do everything like them.
Just to remind you, we have drifted towards practicing capitalism since 1966 and you tell me, what is the result?
Already people cannot afford the govt subsidized rates of a liberalized Korle Bu Hospital. Just this evening, I was desperately approached by a local resident in my area whose 3-year old daughter fell into some kind of coma, to help them with some money to buy drugs that a doctor in Korle Bu had prescribed for their daughter. They had asked countless people the whole day without success until I came home from work.
If Korle Bu were to be privatized that already unbearable cost of medical care would multiply at least five times over what it currently is and many more people would simply not be able to seek medical attention. Subsequently many more people would die needlessly from poverty induced ailments. Ultimately also, the hospital itself would would not be able to function properly, due to a dwindling patronage and income.
If you privatize all govt hospitals and strengthen the NHIS, what have you in the long run, done?
The corruption that exists in all or any state institutions is not because they are owned by govt. It is because they are badly managed by incompetent employees. In any case, to take the hospitals from the govt and to give it to private practitioners is simply to take the thievery from corrupt workers and hand it over in a formalized and more vicious and exploitative way, to the private owners.
If private entrepreneurs want to run hospitals, they should go and build their own hospitals and compete with the govt hospitals. Nobody is stopping them from doing so, so why would they want govt hospitals to be sold to them if they were not thieves themselves.
People like you just parrot and ape the nonsense of imperialist economic strategies without thinking. It is the criminal use of slaves and our stolen natural resources which has made capitalism appear to be successful.

Government can clearly see that the korlebu system like many of its institutions are run like legacy old institutions which are infested with many loopholes for anyone with smarts to steal.
All the government has to do is to bring in a private partner that can change the old system to modern hospitals and manage korlebu a share profits like companies out in the west.
The service is poor, doctors have no research, and certainly the staff are outmoded like their machines.
The doctors to have set their own clinics to compete with korleby right there near the hospitals so why will they improve it? Why wont they sabotage the equipment there?
Put this hospital into a management company will fire and hire staff and ensure there are no conflict of interests situations that exist currently.
Ghanaians must wake and repair korlebu to a state of the art hospital to service the whole west Africa. That way we can earn foreign there through it instead only relying only on cocoa, gold and now oil which prices can shock us t earn less messing with our economy. The game is now to have a diverse economy.

The mafia and corruption conundrum in the health sector is gargantuan, sophisticated with very high profile persons involved.just like in many other public institutions the rot will be exposed but the balls to administer severe punishment as deterrent can never be guaranteed because 'big fishes' at the helm of affairs are involved.I have often insisted that the real armed robbers in Ghana are not those who rob us of little money on the highway but those white collar criminals who connive to defraud the country of millions of Ghana Cedis. They only difference is that they do it in the comfort of their air condition offices with pens instead of guns. Everybody is joining the corruption bandwagon because in Ghana people revere and adore the affluent without never questioning the source of the money.Uncontrolled corruption with impunity is because of a selective justice system ready to sentence a poor man to 7 years for stealing a goat but insulating top civil servants from punishment because of links with high profile politicians and public servants. When corruption was reported in Effia Nkwanta Hospital the best the DG,GHS could do was to fraudulently implicate the doctors with a mental illness and straightaway fire them from work in less than a month of assuming post. When the doctors proceeded to court the case was visibly gagged up at the Fast Track High Court since 2012 in favour of GHS who refused to enter appearance and defense realizing a can of worms will open if they venture. There were even direct attempts on their lives following the court action prompting a report at police headquarters for police inquiry into their case.As to how Ebenezah Appiah Denkyira and his corrupt Board defied a presidential inquiry of reported cases of corruption in that hospital to victimize the doctors as cover up only God knows. The doctors were accused of having a 'possible delusional disorder' without evidence and sacked because they refused a compulsory treatment as part of conspiracy to victimize them following a tip off.The real issues were reported cases of corruption in that hospital which Appiah Denkyira sort to cover up.The evidence of reported cases of corruption such as illicit procurement deals, fraudulent claims in insurance through over costing, private consultation fees charged irrespective of insurance in a public institution, promotions and job rewards through sexual favours and bribery in that hospital have been deliberately destroyed by the DG himself by using the doctors as scapegoats. Before and after sacking the doctors their letters were copied to Alban Bagbin then Health Minister who had documents narrating full details of the rot in Effia Nkwanta hospital. If Ghana is really serious about fighting corruption it can only be done by starting from the top.Institutional failure and corruption in Ghana is largely as a result of moral decadence by people occupying key positions in public institutions such as the GHS who encourage it to further their vested parochial interest. Most illicit procurement deals and other corrupt acts to the best of my knowledge is usually with connivance with the head of management. It is just a classical example of the loot and share syndrome engulfing the country.
