INFACT IT WAS AFTER THE PUBLIC OUTCRY THAT YOU MOVED OUT OF THE HOTEL.

IN ANY CASE YOU SAID YOU WERE GOING TO GIVE YOUR SIDE OF THE STORY TO THE COMMISSION, SO WHY ARE YOU NOW CONDUCTING YOUR OWN THING ON THE RADIO, AND WHY NOW?

OK so if the residence was up to her standards and OK for Lauretta " felt it was not up to my standards" then why did she not stop the renovations? She is acting as if she had no power to stop the wasteful renovations that was initiated by Short. Why do we appoint new leaders then?

Unrelated to subject in article, I also wonder why we still carry our chiefs in a palanquin in the 21st century? Isn't it more dignifying and safer for the chief to ride in a "chiefmobile" especially for chiefs who really can afford it. These were my thoughts when I saw the Asantehene being carried the other day. And please don't tell me it is tradition. I guess we just don't change as a nation.

But my problem with this lady is,why she waited for all this time up until she has been suspended before she started talking without exposing this Short guy who was all over the place destroying her,how can he order the renovation but pretend as if this woman who just came to meet the project already in place is the corrupt one?
If he really did that but pretending he knew nothing about it then shame on him.

I think all these things are just waste of resources,we just have to change the system about official accommodation and renovations.

It would appear that those in control of the NDC, for the time being, were bent on excluding other bona fide members of the Party who may wish to lay democratic claims to who becomes the next flag bearer of the Party by excluding them even before the mortal remains of the demised President were interred. It is also symptomatic of how political party elites in Ghana and Africa worm their way into the confidences of persons perceived as likely to ascend to power positions for purposes of eventual personal economic gain at the expense of the generality of the mass of Party members and the Nation which every President swears to serve under the Constitution

He should be able to the public.Short is a hypocrite and the manner in which he has been speaking on the issue since it broke made think he had something to hide. Chief Justice, kindly call Mr. Short and question him. He has been calling for equity and he who calls for equity must have his hands clean and in this case, both hands must clean.

The situation like Obetsebi Lamptey's of the NPP.
So the long and Short of it is that Mr Emile Short ordered the renovation by making the place inhabitable for this lady long enough so that she will be given a different accommodation. Knowing that paying some $500 a day by government can not be sustained.
Then after the renovation he will cower government into giving him the renovated mansion as an end of service package or benefit. Tweaaa!
This is why Mr Short is so vociferous into painting this Ga lady Black.
Gas are typically not greedy as they have allowed everyone to settle on their lands for pittence.
The investigations can go on but lady or woman you better speak out.
Mr Short has a lot of questions to answer too. To be first head of CHRAJ does not make you the owner. Besides you enjoyed in your days even more than a president. Didn't you?

More power to you, Lauretta; reveal as much information as you can on Short's involvement in the whole scandal...it is your chance to refute all the allegations false as they are, levelled against you....you suffered in silence, taking jabs to your integrity and good name.....somehow, I knew your predecessor, the irascible Short had a hand in the scandal judging from the way he jumped into the fray without as much as a thought as to how a former head of an agency should stay as far away as he/she from a brewing scandal....but he did not....he is loudmouthed and plain ignorant. Let Ghanaians know that Short is not entirely free from blame....

Her suspension should be revoked. People from the previous government ransacked their government bungalows while vacating it. Do we know if that was what Emile Short did and then requested that the bungalow be renovated to cover his misdeeds? We do not know.

It is high time our leaders speak the truth! There is nothing under the sand that can be hidden.

With that said, if the former boss of CHRAJ, Dr. Emile Short, had recommended or ordered the commission's boss residence to be renovated, it wouldn't be at price being quoted in the media. The man was humble at that office and really did very well to raise the image of the commission. He did worked hard - in investigating corruption cases and ensuring that there is international support to the commission to make it very independent ( not relying on government funding to do it work), it is of these services he has rendered to the commission and to continue this legacy he has left behind he probably find his residence(he has lived and work to built the integrity of the commission) below the belt oto pass it on to the next commission boss to live in. However, the integrity of the man wouldn't allow him to order such rediculous renovation to be done on next boss residence, knowing that he did not enjoy such luxury.

I have that strong believe the integrity is the reason Dr. Short did not sit down on issues about the current CHRAJ boss way of doing things at the commission.
