Addison, you deserve a share of the loot going on in Ghana. You miscalculated however because you are a little guy. Only the little guy gets prosecuted in Ghana. Only people not connected to high level NDC leadership goes to jail. Woyome is walking and talking in the streets of Ghana. Thieves like Betty Mood, Duffour and etc are untouchable. This is how Mahama gets the over 300 people he claims his government has prosecuted for corruption, going after little thieves. Just crazy people.

Yes, I know it is an excuse. But is it not true that only the little thieves are jailed? How do you deal with stealing when the watchdogs are way deep in it? I am not saying we shouldn't deal with the problem. I am saying the problem should be dealt with from the top, where the big thieves are. Read into what I am saying OK. Listen to your empty talk. "stop this nonsense and let's collectively deal with the THIEVES". How is this a collective effort when people are assigned this responsibility? Are you and me the police, prosecutors and judges? Are we in charge of government? MAC, I think you are one of the big thieves or benefiting from the looting.

I think you rather didn't get my point. You are still insisting the problem should be dealt from the "TOP" and I am saying the problem should be dealt WHEREVER it occurs. As far as I am concern, it doesn't matter where the THIEVES are located (top, bottom, center, inside or outside) they must be dealt with. There is no starting point. I am amazed you see my call for collective approach to deal with corruption empty talk. Corruption can only be exposed and dealt with if citizens (including you and me) start reporting it whenever we see its occurrence. The Police, Prosecutors and Judges work can only succeed based on information as being reported in this article we are both commenting on. So please get facts and figures and report to the appropriate authorities and stop this baseless and useless accusation you keep throwing around. You think I am one of the big thieves, STOP THINKING and ACT.

Ghana is sinking in a sea of corruption and dishonest civil servants and it is high time that the government took radical, but legal steps, to alleviate this cancar from our country. Seriously, the government should tap on the expertise of former President J J Rawlings in rooting out corruption form the civil service. Recently, I saw the notorious Audi 6 at Korle Bu Hospital administration parking while the hospital still have stinking open gutters, paint peeling off buildings, delapilated facilities. Is this Audi 6 still in use by the head of the hospital? Public funds should be put to use to serve the public and not to provide convenience for an individual irrespective of his or her level in the civil service hierarchy.

I have a feel for where this line of of anti-corruption thinking is going. And that is killing people. JJ did that and where are we? Right back and worse. Well, killing scares people so it will work but for a while. That is why killing is reserved for murder in civilized societies. Actually, JJ killed to scare people, impose himself and steal. You know, the corruption going on was crafted by JJ and reserved it to himself, his wife and a few friends like Ahow and Tsikata. Now all his NDC cohorts are acting just like him. Why is he not against Mahama like he did to Mills? It is because Mahama has paid his wife over $4M judgement debt that Mills refused to pay. This has happened right under the nose of public outrage against judgement debts. This SOB JJ is really conning and has made suckers out of a lot of Ghanaians, including you calling yourself Campaign Against Corruption. So much for his NDC accountability and probity empty talk. People should wake up. When people are alert and have a common sense of unity against right and wrong then politicians will serve them. As it stands now, Ghanaians are divided and lost, thanks to the 19 years of JJ's tribal divide and rule tactics.

1. "How is this a collective effort when people are assigned this responsibility? Are you and me the police, prosecutors and judges? Are we in charge of government?" This was in response to my call for collective effort to deal with corruption.
2. "People should wake up. When people are alert and have a common sense of unity against right and wrong then politicians will serve them." And this is contain in your response to Campaign Against Corruption. In one breadth its the job of the Police, Prosecutors and Judges and in another people should wake up. Which people are you now referring too? The Police, Prosecutors and the Judges or you and I? Politics is making you incoherent. Get a life.

The percentage ownership of Ghana government in the Vodafone deal must be reworked because there is not and has never been a measurable ROI to government from the deal. Instead of the drip drip quarterly stipend, Ghana government must ask Vodafone to use our calculated 3 or 10 percent ownership to provide and install requisite fiber optic backbone to every government office in Ghana bare none. If offices of every government outfit was fitted with functioning computers and staff mandated that every and all transactions of or on behalf of government must take place at a computer terminal there would be plenty of electronic foot prints within three (3) months to see every unauthorized transaction anywhere in Ghana. It will be reason for the system to trigger alarm bells and whistle to the lousy Audit services.
We cannot get our heads around why Ghana is a third world nation even as we pretend to be a developing nation. Was Ghana not in the same status with South Korea some 40 years ago? It is not only the education system in South Korea that matters but the computerization of industry and government that helps bridge collaborative work between end-users and software developers to drive creativity and innovation. Ghana need to see to it that all government offices are adequately automated and we have a continuous supply of uninterrupted electricity; it’s a must.
