  It's indeed disheartening to read about the total number of fire outbreaks in ghana. I envisaged this from last year when discussing this with my housemate. It's about time we start following the proper fire policies and procedures in all sectors in the country. Not fire service officers and fire engines only do we need but in the policies and procedures we should have compulsory fire exit doors, fire alarms, fire extinguishers, proper fire warning signs, periodical training of staff on fire safety procedures, fire Marshals, evacuation procedures, regular documented fire alarm testing etc. In effect all fire safety procedures advanced countries are adopting. This is not about technology inventire it's about following a laid down system to avert loss of lives, propertis and resources. Government must know that any time this happens even to individuals it's the country that suffers.
