I don't know what the government is prosecuting the two ladies who travelled to London with Nayele Ametefe for. What are they charged with?
They were supposedly carrying drugs with them but nobody can put the drugs in their hands since they were able to go through immigration and customs at Heathrow Airport and were not arrested. They came back to Ghana and were arrested for being Nayele travelling companion, is that a crime to be friends with a drug dealer?
I know if drugs were found in their luggage, it will be in the custody of British Airways and UK customs who might have demanded their repatriation to UK for prosecution but that is not the case.
Ghana government has no case against the two ladies and very soon charges against them will be dropped.

Just look at this waste in our Ghana system.
What is the business of these three people working at airport, why they will not be taking money from people to let them use that so called VVIP when everybody in Ghana wants to make extra money at where he or she works?
Airport all over the world in the civilized world is managed by airport officials not civil servants or officials of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, just close down that VVIP,you can still give VIP treatment to officials without that facility,we need more gates for airplanes.

They can simply argue that they didn't know she had such stuff on her. They knew about it when Natele was arrested and since she was their sponsor, they didn't know where to go but to return same day to Ghana.

I know a case in Ghana in Koforidua in the 80s when the arresting officers were asked where was the drug before they arrested the guys and the officer said they were sitting and the drug was in front of them and the second question was who was holding the bag containing the drugs and he replied nobody was holding it,there their lawyer told the judge the drug did not belong to any of them and the case was dismissed.
You need to prove it beyond reasonable doubt.

Agree that cases drag on for years in Ghana but this case police have to get the facts well before proceeding.
As for the three officials, they have a case to answer if there is a law in Ghana about security breach if they don't have any evidence to prove they were involved in the drug smuggling, for the two ladies,it is a hopeless case if no drug was found on them, they cannot charge them just for the mere fact that they returned the next day when Nayele was caught,Nayele did not mention their names as accomplices,it is up to the prosecution to prove beyond reasonable doubt that they were involved in the drug business with Nayele on that day, there is no law that says if you pass through the same gate with somebody that was caught with drugs that means you were accomplice and there is no law that says if you return from London the same day that means you had drugs on you,it is now circumstantial evidence which is unlikely to work in this case.
If the lawyers want a speedy trial like what happened in London with Nayele then they should advise their clients to also plead guilty because that was the reason why that case went the way it went, they are lawyers who should know better, what will happen if they rush the case to jail their clients, why the rush when the guys are no more in custody,it is in the interest of their own clients to see the case going this way.
Now,who sent the bag containing the drug to the lady on the aircraft?

if the main baroness has seen her fate.why are those"side kicks" been kept...when its glaring that their charges center on the.main king pin nayele ametepe.cant we have a court system where people can get a fair trial in a timely manner.
all this so called investigation and deliberate delays are "bullshit"..
cant we learn from the British or western world.????
there is so much lazy court officials...in Ghana with lackadaisical attitude.some times...putting their signature on a document or piece of paper becomes a "show off".....u must bribe before u get service.
what kind of twisted judicial system exist in Ghana. Cases pile up .while accused persons languish in jail over petty crime all in the name of " that silly word. (investigation.)what are they investigating...when the British have given them all the facts of this cocaine...deal...and completed and sentenced the main "baroness"...justice delayed is justice denied.
so the judicial system need to wake up from their "judicial delay tactics..."its a waste of tax payers money..to the government of Ghana.we need to wake up.our legal system need a complete "over haul"
what are people in parliament for..and what are their purpose and priorities...
Ghanaians must wake up..
also a sentencing guide line must be implemented .you cant just throw people in jail at a judges discretion...this is bad and a violation of human rights.i live in the states..but if I were in Ghana..i will make it my priority to fight for the law to change..by making sure a sentencing guide line is implemented in the country. It saves time and money.. I hope the attorney general read comments from those of us in the diaspora and make amends and changes...so Ghanaians can have a .fair trial and trust in our judicial system.this is my opinion...i may be wrong.... Or right.
lets learn from the rule of law of other countries...like the British and American's". ($. )
we imitate them but when it comes to rule of law in Ghana...all we see is "bogus law".
