The last time we jumped to conclusions in the murder of some royal from Ekumfi Nakwa, in Central Region, and blamed Ewe citizens in the community, they turned out to be innocent.
In the end, it was discovered that someone from Ekumfi Narkwa had killed that man. It was all over some coconuts. The Ewe settlers had nothing to do with the murder, even though their hamlets had been burnt by some angry indegenes.
We should try to remain calm in such matters and allow the police to do their work. Casting aspersions at each other is hardly the way to go.

Given that this was a peaceful 'demo', I believe it would have been appropriate for the police to issue a stern warning to the demonstrators, advising them that a repeat would end in their arrest. There is no need for any arrest.
The police have to be careful of being branded 'heavy-handed' in such matters.
