We've seen that town blossomed into a great commercial town and can bet it's going places if the Mahama will put partisan politics aside and complete the Nsawam - Suhum highway started by the previous Kuffour administration.
I can't be any more prouder than this, regardless, to see one of it's infrastructures- hospital- so touted by it's C.E.O.
I know this is a work - in progress just like all such developments in developing countries and much resources would be needed on an on going basis to maintain it for the ages.
But, to keep the momentum going, good governance is the requisite formula. For starters, an engaged electorate is needed- akin to New York City's Participatory Budget delegates; skillfull politicians-corruption- free, humble- that they are hired to work for the electorate; and an able civic and sophisticated cultural leaders. To wrap it up, the town nedds those leaders who are confident in their own skin, and not afraid to ask for help, regardless of partisanship or source of funding.
And, while we are at it, what are the medical equipments and computers needed ?
And, in the future don't dull the sensibilities of SUHUM loving peoples that 80% of the disbursement for the hospital came from the area's MP pocket- unless of course he has a 501(c)3 non - profit organisation which is self funded.
But again, more kudos to a great town named after the only river in town - Suhum, which has since dried up and choked up into extinction..
