As much as I hate to admit Rawlings was right with his statement. If they have had listen to those who were concern with the president health, he might be alive today.

Ivor Greenstreet said directly to President John Mahama and Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur that: “You don’t care”.
“Nobody is feeling your better Ghana”, Greenstreet shouted when he delivered his party’s solidarity message to the NDC at the congress at the Baba Yara Stadium in the Ashanti regional Captial, Kumasi – stronghold of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).
In the full glare of the President, Vice President, former President Jerry Rawlings, and thousands of leaders and supporters of the NDC, a defiant Greenstreet said: “…Currently nobody, I mean nobody is feeling your better Ghana.”
“Continuous ‘dumsor dumsor,’ corruption from top to bottom, left right inside out, and all the challenges you are facing [are] suffocating the Ghanaian people.”
He added: “We would have thought that perhaps you may have used an occasion like this to discuss policies, programmes and solutions to all the difficulties we are facing as a nation, but no, you chose today to share your Christmas gifts with each other.”
“Ghanaians are not happy at all. This ‘bronya’ is dry. Too too dry,” he told the President, adding: “The most painful thing of all is that you don’t care.”
“NDC continue, we are watching you, Ghana is watching you, do what you want to do, we also know what we’ll come and do…make sure you’ll elect executives who will be able to steer your parties affairs when you are in opposition. Boys abr3.”
The wheelchair-bound Politicians has been called names and criticised by leaders and supporters of the NDC after his bluntness. While Majority Leader Alban Bagbin has said he believed Greenstreet was possessed by some demons, which caused him to be “so emotional”, presidential staffer Sam George wrote on his Facebook wall that: “Ivor Greenstreet apparently needs elevation to see the Better Ghana.”
However, Nkrumah said Greenstreet’s message was crafted by the CPP to capture the mood and mind of the entire country.

There is a lesson here for you and especially the FOOLISH POLITICIANS we have.
ATTA MILLS PATRONISED FOREIGN HOSPITALS WITH PRIDE thinking he was the president and there is no first class health care in the world that is out of his reach. FORGETTING THAT THERE IS SOMETHING CALLED EMERGENCY. The people of Ghana who are less human don't deserve any first class health care. WE ALL SAW HOW HE DIED FOOLISHLY just because he couldn't reach what he banked his hope on (FOREIGN HOSPITAL) We also saw how PV OBENG DIED along the Spintex road. A FIRST CLASS AMBULANCE LIKE THE ONES THEY PATRONISE OUTSIDE WITH WELL TRAINED PARAMEDICS WOULD HAVE KEPT HIM ALIVE TILL HE GETS TO THE NEAREST HOSPITAL. I don't see how I will see myself patronizing foreign hospitals as a leader with pride, because, to me it is the most disgraceful thing to do. THE MONEY THAT THESE POLITICIANS USE TO BUY CARS TO LURE VOTERS DURING ELECTION TIME, CAN BUILD FIRST CLASS HOSPITALS. Don't the lives of the VOTERS who put you where you are matter? I'M VERY ANGRY ABOUT THIS BECAUSE MY OWN BROTHER HAD FALLEN VICTIM TO THE ACTION OF THE 'CONCERT LEADERS' WE HAVE HAD SO FAR. WHEN WILL I SEE A LEADER IN GHANA WHO REASONS AND ACT LIKE A HUMAN BEING? A human being sees something good somewhere and would like to have it in his own home. Do we have such people in Ghana as leaders? That is how I'm, and if I don't see a leader like that it irritates me. Ebola should have thought us something, but no, we still remain dumb. We rush for and protect everything luxury and beautiful, but pay little attention to the most important thing, our health. The less I talk about public places of convenience the better.

Kwame Nkrumah was building Ghana like any other country on Earth. Schools, hospitals, roads and many others.
Then the UP and their allies conspired to destabilize the country forcing Kwame to promulgate The PDA. This state of affairs led to the deep polarization of the country till Nkrumah's Government was toppled.
NPP we know you too well. You'll not succeed this time. Nyame ahu mo. FELLOW GHANAIANS YOUR PLIGHT TODAY IS AS A RESULT OF THE NPP BELIEF THAT THEY HAVE THE DIVINE RIGHT TO RULE. Please take note of this.

I don't know whether this nation of ours is a republic or a monarchy or both. Nobody seems to be interested in the welfare of the nation or its' citizenry. All we do is just talk. That's what we get when we make or choose loosers, visionless and clueless people as leaders to run this beautiful country of ours.I rest my case. Doctors everywhere in the www are supposed to protect, save, and keep patients alive. However in ghana, when you enter korlebu hospital very sick, you have just 5% chance of surviving at the hospital. It means the personnel there will kill you rather than the sickness. Very very scary isn't it? That's how we have trained our Dr's to be as an uncivilized nation. I wish everybody a healthy and prosperous new yr.

We are not safe even if doctors are present. My mom was killed at the hospital. She went into comma, and was taken to the hospital. The doctor put his ears to her nose and said "she is not breathing" so, he declared her dead. She was taken to the morgue. The next day my sister and our aunt went to the hospital to wash her, and found blood coming from her nose and a big gush on her head. The morgue attendant refuse to talk about what happened. CASE 2 My late uncles wife was experiencing shortness of breath and was rushed to the hospital. The doctor examined her and left. The nurses refuse to administer oxygen because the doctor did not authorize it, and she died as a result. When can these professionals be sued for negligence. Now my conclusion is that, if armed robbers can be jailed for taking innocent lives, then, when are we going to make these doctors also pay for negligence of duty and stop putting innocent lives in jeopardy?

Medical practitioneers lack sympahy, empathy and kindness towards their patients. Medication alone does not cure a patient. Our medical staff lack these atributes and one wonders if they understand that medicine is a caring profession. There is nothing like urgency to our practitioners. I think the whole medical service need to think about why they went into medicine. Is it just to write the abbreviation after their names or is it because they care for people?

We have these breakdowns in services because our government is perceived by us to be the provider of EVERYTHING.It'll be to our utmost advantage if the private sector undertakes some of the social responsibilities like healthcare, education, transportation, media et al with the government having a keen oversight role.If our medical professionals are NOT government employees and are allowed to practice their trade with full insurance coverages, patients would be taken care of appropriately. In Ghana, these Doctors and nurses don't give a hoot because, like everybody else, there are no consequences for derelictions of responsibilities.
Let's face facts, our late President flew out of the country for medical checkup in the States prior to his passing. As we speak/write the flag bearer of the opposition who lays claims to having all the solutions to our endemic problems is out of the country with his wife for,you guessed it,a medical checkup in the U.K.If former Presidents Kuffuor,Rawlings or any of the big guns,God forbid, is strickened, they'll be flowned oversees for treatment, right?
So we the electorate need to ask ourselves the begging question:if those who brag about their competence and experience in the governance of our country cannot patronize our healthcare system or anything else that they run,why do we keep voting for them to run things in Ghana? We REALLY MUST BE A BUNCH OF SICK,BOOT LICKING PEOPLE,AREN'T WE?

Very true, Nana! Well said. No system to ensure accountability for poor care given. People are dying needlessly! Its a real shame. Some nurses and doctors work hard, but most of them lack the skills when compared to their colleagues in the advanced countries! Sadly, they are aware of this but nothing is being done at any level, among the doctors GMC or the Min of Health.

Those who have taken advantage of our country are the politicians. they are safe because they can travel outside the country for treatment. Our hospitals are filthy, filled with rusty beds, bed lockers covered in dust and cobwebs, wards booming with coachroaches and stench. Apart from the deplorable setup, nurse allocation ratio to patient load could be as shocking as 2:50. If two nurses are looking after 50 patients on a shift, what do you expect? Nothing but patients dying. As for availability of doctors only God knows. ....and the politicians do not care because they can definitely fly out to seek medical care against government revenues.

THE OKYEHENE IS RIGHT. WE TOOK A RELATION TO KORLE BU LAST WEEK AND IF WAS DYING THERE WAS NO HELP. THE EMERGENCY NURSES DIDN'T EVEN COME OUT TO SEE HIM. THEY JUST SAID THERE WAS NO BED. THERE WERE NO DUTY DOCTORS, THE EXCUSE BEING THAT THERE IS NO ACCOMMODATION FOR THEM. WHAT ARE THE SO CALLED HOSPITAL ADMINISTRATORS DOING? THEY COULD BUILD OVERNIGHT ACCOMMODATION IN THE HOSPITAL GROUNDS FOR LESS THATN GHC200,000.00. THEY ARE RATHER ORDERING LUXURY CARS. PEOPLE LIKE THE KING ARE BRINGING THIS OUT AND HOPEFULLY IT WILL HELP.

GHANA NEEDS PRESIDENTS, MINISTERS,LEADERS OF ORGANIZATIONS, MANAGERS OF THE CIVIL SERVICE, LEADERS OF CHURCHES TO ORGANIZE SYSTEMS IN PLACE. THEY ALL CAN START BY A CLEAN UP CAMPGAIGN EVERY WEEK ON SATURDAYS OF THE ENVIRONMENT. AND WE NEED TO CHECK IF THESE SYSTEMS ARE WORKING.
GHANA NEEDS AN OVERHALL OF ALL ITS PROCESSES AND SYSTEMS TO RUN SMOOTHLY!
WE DO NOT NEED TO KNOW ANYBODY ANYWHERE TO GET THINGS DONE!
NEOPOTISM MUST AND SHOULD BE ERADICATED!
CORRUPTION MUST BE ERDICATED!
EVERYDAY BUSINESS SHOULD NOT BE SOOO CUMBERSOME AND FRUSTRATING!
SOME EXAMPLE LIKE GOING TO THE:
PASSPORT OFFICE
DRIVERS LICENSE OFFICE
LANDS DEPT
RGISTERING A BUSINESS OR NGO AT REGISTRY GENERAL OFFICE
CALLING AN AMBULANCE
GOING TO THE EMERGENCY
CALLING THE POLICE
UNTIL WE HAVE EFFICIENT SYSTEMS IN PLACE FOR THE ABOVE IF WILL BE SOO FRUSTRATING TO GET ANYTHING DONE.
GHANAIANS SHOULD IMPLEMENT HIGH STANDARDS OF BUSINESS PROCEDURES PERIOD! WHY DO WE ACCEPT LOW STANDARDS OF DOING BUSINESS AND SOOO MUCH CHAOS?
WE HAVE TO ORGANIZE! ORGANIZE! ORGANIZE! OURSELVES AND OUR DAILY BUSINESS OTHERWISE NOTHING WILL WORK EFFICIENTLY!
DEGRESS AND PHD'S YET WE CANNOT ORGANIZE OURSELVES? DISGRCEFUL!
