Ivor Greenstreet said directly to President John Mahama and Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur that: “You don’t care”.
“Nobody is feeling your better Ghana”, Greenstreet shouted when he delivered his party’s solidarity message to the NDC at the congress at the Baba Yara Stadium in the Ashanti regional Captial, Kumasi – stronghold of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).
In the full glare of the President, Vice President, former President Jerry Rawlings, and thousands of leaders and supporters of the NDC, a defiant Greenstreet said: “…Currently nobody, I mean nobody is feeling your better Ghana.”
“Continuous ‘dumsor dumsor,’ corruption from top to bottom, left right inside out, and all the challenges you are facing [are] suffocating the Ghanaian people.”
He added: “We would have thought that perhaps you may have used an occasion like this to discuss policies, programmes and solutions to all the difficulties we are facing as a nation, but no, you chose today to share your Christmas gifts with each other.”
“Ghanaians are not happy at all. This ‘bronya’ is dry. Too too dry,” he told the President, adding: “The most painful thing of all is that you don’t care.”
“NDC continue, we are watching you, Ghana is watching you, do what you want to do, we also know what we’ll come and do…make sure you’ll elect executives who will be able to steer your parties affairs when you are in opposition. Boys abr3.”
The wheelchair-bound Politicians has been called names and criticised by leaders and supporters of the NDC after his bluntness. While Majority Leader Alban Bagbin has said he believed Greenstreet was possessed by some demons, which caused him to be “so emotional”, presidential staffer Sam George wrote on his Facebook wall that: “Ivor Greenstreet apparently needs elevation to see the Better Ghana.”
However, Nkrumah said Greenstreet’s message was crafted by the CPP to capture the mood and mind of the entire country.

I don't know what the leftists are talking about, and I don't believe that NPP is behind the present wave of strikes either. As far as I know, NPP is only highlighting the failings and excesses of the NDC government, hopping that they would translate into votes for their party in the next elections. And that is, in fact, genuine and legitimate politics since the failings are true and not false. Everybody in Ghana knows that cost of living under this NDC government is unbearable, and NPP is democratically seizing the opportunity to convince the electorate not to vote for NDC in the next elections.
Frankly, I don't see anything wrong with an opposition highlighting the failings of an incapable government to wrestle power from it democratically. NDC is the cause of the strikes because of the higher levels of corruption, over spending, reckless borrowing and overall economic mismanagement that have brought untold hardship on Ghanaians.

My friend if you think the NDC is leftist, then you certainly need to go back to primary school again. You have surely wasted your parents time, energy and money.
At least the truly presumed left, in the form of Ivor Greenstreet, boldly took the courage to point out and expose the monumental and painful failings of the ultra-right policies and inevitable failure of the NDC govt whilst the NPP representatives at the same congress, went and gave comfort to the NDC gathering on the flimsy and unacceptable basis that one does not talk the truth, no matter how painful it is, at congresses. This, by the way, was at an NDC congress which in the past has been known to entertain the public with gory internal physical fights and floggings.
Mahmoud I think you, an imperialist stooge, should be thankful that at least the NDC is implementing right-wing policies ahead of a possible right-wing NPP govt to prepare the hearts and minds of Ghanaians for worse things to come.

Ivor's speech may contain "truths" but the impropriety of its expression must be criticised, for who, but a simpleton will, when given the opportunity to speak at a wedding, rant about the bride's laziness and the groom's infidelity? Can anybody blame the couple and friends if they throw out the said simpleton, wheel-chair and all, from the wedding?
And oh, before you accuse me of stupidity for referring to a wheel-chair, I don't at all think that society should be too touchy on disability to the extend that reference can't be made to one's disability. If you can accuse the President to his face that he is a thief and a liar, accuse him of lacking empathy without justification, I don´t see any reason save for the perseverance of the dignity of his office, for the President to ask whether your "low point of view" is obscuring your vision!
I would have ask him immediately to get lost! But then, I'm not a politician.

AU you must be as badly educated as Mahmoud for relating politics to a wedding. Are you serious in life at all?
Many people are suffering and in the process, dying from the ineptitude of this incompetent Mahama govt and an obtuse person like you thinks that we should face our suffering with civility? You must certainly be benefiting from this most fraudulent govt to be able to muster the courage to utter such rubbish.
Oh! so one cannot accuse a President in office of corruption? You just wait small. It definitely wont take long before you will know for a fact that the man is a thief.
The founder of the NDC the most evil and dishonorable Rawlings has been known to even publicly accuse and compare ex-President Kufuor, whilst he was in office, to one of the most notorious armed robbers in this country. Today you think this behaviour is not acceptable? Wooooow! Thats NDC logic for you.
In Africa, when we say that a person is a thief, it encompasses many things other than the act of stealing and this NDC govt is probably the biggest known protagonist of such misconduct in the history of this country.

It is a door of problem that the NDC opened for it to happen so they should take care of it patiently. The NDC ought to understand that giving your secret enemy, the CPP your platform, this is what you really had to expect.
My question is who will doubt of the fact that the political parties in Ghana are enemy bodies, therefore where is the need or the sense which called for the NDC to offer the enemy a platform to lambast them.
Anyway the NDC should just take it easy, and learn from their mistake in this area of politics. Another point of awareness is that the CPP is a frustrated political party, since they spent monies and never gained power since the good old party of Nkrumah was crushed by the CIA.
In short it is generally the fault of the NDC to give the CPP the platform to pour out their anger on Mahama and others in the face, without considering the efforts being put into action to arrest the economic situation we are in now.
Our national situation calls for all hands onboard with good cooperation to better it than to find faults with each other with wicked actions, just like Greenstreet, the mouth piece of the CPP exhibited towards the president and his NDC.

Sometime ago, Greenstreet would have been taken to the back of the castle and shot, just calling him a cripple is a great improvement in ndc governance. Now we afford to eat food only once a day. Under the old p/ndc we could only afford to eat bamboo. Today judges are being given millions of dollars to rig elections, in the past they were shot and taken to remote areas to be burnt. Some time ago we could not complain when account 48 was being looted, now we can but yen tea obia which is still an improvement. Ndc has created a better Ghana by their own standards.
