Nana Konadu has embarrassed Rawlings – Ephson
Ivor Greenstreet said directly to President John Mahama and Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur that: “You don’t care”.
“Nobody is feeling your better Ghana”, Greenstreet shouted when he delivered his party’s solidarity message to the NDC at the congress at the Baba Yara Stadium in the Ashanti regional Captial, Kumasi – stronghold of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).
In the full glare of the President, Vice President, former President Jerry Rawlings, and thousands of leaders and supporters of the NDC, a defiant Greenstreet said: “…Currently nobody, I mean nobody is feeling your better Ghana.”
“Continuous ‘dumsor dumsor,’ corruption from top to bottom, left right inside out, and all the challenges you are facing [are] suffocating the Ghanaian people.”
He added: “We would have thought that perhaps you may have used an occasion like this to discuss policies, programmes and solutions to all the difficulties we are facing as a nation, but no, you chose today to share your Christmas gifts with each other.”
“Ghanaians are not happy at all. This ‘bronya’ is dry. Too too dry,” he told the President, adding: “The most painful thing of all is that you don’t care.”
“NDC continue, we are watching you, Ghana is watching you, do what you want to do, we also know what we’ll come and do…make sure you’ll elect executives who will be able to steer your parties affairs when you are in opposition. Boys abr3.”
The wheelchair-bound Politicians has been called names and criticised by leaders and supporters of the NDC after his bluntness. While Majority Leader Alban Bagbin has said he believed Greenstreet was possessed by some demons, which caused him to be “so emotional”, presidential staffer Sam George wrote on his Facebook wall that: “Ivor Greenstreet apparently needs elevation to see the Better Ghana.”
However, Nkrumah said Greenstreet’s message was crafted by the CPP to capture the mood and mind of the entire country.

And all the components of our vehicles are imported. Did Kufuor know about this and yet he was demanding 2 luxury vehicles, 2 houses etc from the state as part of his 'ex-graciat''. Was Kufuor really aware of the future of the electricity supply in Ghana and what is rthe record of arrogant 'good for nothing' Dr Wereko Brobbey aka Tarzan? Could the $ chains, drilling ship, hotel Wawa Kufuoer, Tetteh Kwashie Shopping Moll, reburbishing and total renovation of Kufuor's private residence out of State coffers at least help towards the benefits of all Ghanaians instead of his selfish and greed acts? Our politicians must always remember that INTEGRITY, GOOD REPUTATION, HONESTY, TRUSTWORTHINESS AND HUMILITY are the qualities people remember and respect. Ssdly, Kufuor does not possess any of these qualities so when he now speaks, he sounds a hypocrite and like a joker!

Yeah right! Somebody should please tell this Kufuor guy that we need a full set-up industries in Ghana to manufacture these accessories he is now passionately talking about in here today if we are to curtail such importations in the system. An excuse of a duty he took upon himself and trotted the world over at the expense of the taxpayers only to come home empty.
If he has done his bit by bringing the much needed industries over during his eight so-called "hunky-dory" years at the seat of the presidency, then he wouldn't be here complaining about excessive importation of energy accessories into the country. I rest my case.

It's strange to note how NDC apparatchiks infiltrate public for and spew insults, esp. on Ghanaweb when matters of national development are being discussed. The point is that NDC party believe that nobody should progress without them catching up or when they're left behind.
That's the reason why their leader and founder, Mr. Rawlings accused some Ghanaians for schooling their wards abroad while he and others couldn't do so. He turned around and schooled all his children in the UK.
The NDC accused Kuffour and his NPP gov't esp. ex-Ministers of corruption and assured Ghanaians that those ministers would be jailed if they [NDC] came back to power, only for the courts to fine none of them (ministers) guilty of the crimes that the NDC gov't pressed against them. Ironically, it was rather the NDC who guilty of corruption, thievery and drug smuggling. NDC are gang of covetous and envious people. They believe that if they can't get it then no-one else should get it! When a nation lives with people with skin pain attitude and character, there cannot be any progress.
Kuffour's gov't brought lots of progress to Ghana in just 8yrs while the NDC had spent 19yrs plus without achieving any significant progress for Ghana; all they can do is steal elections, use the EC and Courts, use vile propaganda and character assassination among others to achieve their political goals.
No nation can achieve economic or social development with over reliance of importation of every product that's needed to sustain life and industry. After over 50yrs of independence, our country still relies on archaic and out-dated farming tools like the cutlass and hoes to do farming etc. Kuffour is right to say: “How can we talk of development if we are so heavily dependent on importing every little thing in the supply of energy?” he asked, adding: “Without energy, you can’t develop.” At the end of his presidency, Kuffour imported farm tractors for distribution to local farmers. NDC's Ayariga and other quickly rushed to acquire some of these tractors like hungry lions and that became huge topic, just after the NDC took over power.
These are nation wreckers; they don't understand national progress in freedom; they'll use "buga-buga" tactics to achieve their hearts desires as I've already pointed out. The NPP and other political parties have to team up and educate Ghanaians on this important national topic.

Solar Thermal Panels can be manufactured in Ghana without “excessive importation” of materials.
Presently a large percentage of the solar thermal collectors made by solar water heaters manufacturers world-wide use aluminum for the absorber plate and furthermore a double walled PolyTank would make an excellent solar heated water reservoir for MADE IN GHANA solar water heaters.
Reducing, if not completely eliminating, the use of Ghanaian precious and scarce electricity to heat water would ease the burden on the country’s power grid.
“Dr. Kwabena Donkor said at his vetting before the Appointment’s Committee of Parliament, incorporating “solar for basic lightening and [water] heating” in every household will help curb the perennial blackouts in Ghana.”
Moveover, I built several SWH’s in Ghana in 2010 from local materials for a demo for GRATIS.
I may not be politically correct but below please find a short speech I made at Berkeley (CA) City College
Topic: Solar Energy General Speech Purpose: To inform Specific Speech Purpose: To inform the audience about Solar Energy.
Introduction
I. According to a recent article in the Solar World Magazine "The sun provide us with more energy in day than we use for the entire year”. (Morton)
II. Good evening, I am ex PG&E engineer and currently a Solar Entrepreneur. A. I am also a Senior member of the International and American Solar Energy Societies B. And member of the North California Solar Energy Association.
III. Tonight I will give you a brief history of the two major technologies that we employ today to utilize a small fraction of the available solar energy and then I will talk briefly about the economics of using solar energy.
Body (Transition: Let’s start by identifying the technologies..) I. Main Point: The two technologies are Solar Thermal (ST) which utilizes the heat energy of the sun and Solar Photovoltaic (Solar PV) which converts sunlight energy directly into electricity. A. First, solar thermal is the oldest solar technology and according to article in Solar Max Technology, ancient peoples from the Egyptians in Africa and the Aztecs and Mayans in the Americas used solar thermal energy for drying, cooking, heating baths and warming their homes. (Max) 1. Today, in California we produce solar heated water for a variety of uses in our homes and businesses such as laundry mats, hotels, restaurants, supermarkets and wineries. a. We also used solar heated water in our public and private swimming pools. 2. One of the earliest documented cases of solar water heating in the US involved pioneers moving west. 3. They would place a tub filled with cold water in the sun all day to generate heated water for baths in the evening. (Fernandez) B. The next technology is Solar Photo Voltaic which converts sunlight into a voltage. 1. In Photo Voltaic. a. Photo means light b. Voltaic is derived from word voltage. 2. The Photo-voltaic effect was first observed by a French Physicist in 1839. 3. The first practical Photo Voltaic devices were developed in 1954 at the Bell Laboratories in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey. 4. In 1958 these devices, which we now call solar PV panels, were used to power the Vanguard I satellite and have been used on nearly every spacecraft and satellite since. (Dunlop) (Now that you know a little about the history of the use solar energy, let’s briefly talk about solar economics) II. Main Point 2: The basic of solar economics is to drastically reduce or eliminate your monthly electric utility bills and use the money you save to pay for the solar PV system. A. The monthly savings on your utility bills should pay for the cost of PV system in about five year. B. This will provide you with about 15 additional years of free electrical energy base on the expected 20 year useful life of the average PV system. C. However, the high initial cost around $15,000 for a typical residential system and the lack of qualified installers was limiting the growth of the solar industry in California.
(Transition: However, a brighter day for solar was on the horizon…) III. In 2005, the California solar industry received “a manly boost”. A. The state legislature passed Senate bill SB1, which provided funding for the California Solar Initiative, a product of Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s campaign pledge and “Vision of 1 Million Solar Roofs in California by year 2018”. (Comission) B. The California Solar Initiates, is an innovative program funded by the state government and administered the state electrical utilities. 1. It provides rebates, income and property tax credits and other financial incentives for California home owners and businesses to install solar energy systems.
(Transition: In conclusion…)
Conclusion I. We have talked briefly about the history and use of solar energy and little about the economic incentives to use this greatly underutilizes abundant source of clean renewable energy. II. Hopefully the information I have shared with you tonight, will energized you to consider going solar. Thank You.
