The very staff that work tirelessly for the company to generate huge sum of revenue, which they mgt enjoy and give peanut to the workers. If you report at work latest at 7am almost everyday and close earliest at 7pm, are you a lazy worker? even when office chairs are not in good condition workers still manage. How much does it cost to buy your workers good chairs to at lest feel comfortable and work? Go to the office and find out for yourself that is if you are an outsider the condition of almost all the chairs that the workers use and the number of staff complaining about back pain, as idiot as the workers are as you claim, the operation manager would come to office and be screaming at them as though they are her house helps who even are given reverence by people in most well trained homes. I worked in Bivac some years ago and the conditions of service in that company is so terrible.Secondly,the Ghanaians who are part of the management team have sold their conscience to the expatriates.This explains why they are not part of the union.We know HR managers speak for their workers but in Bivac,the HR speaks for the expatriates.With such pitiable levels of salaries in BIVAC,25% of annual salary as bonus is a fair figure.I hope this issue will not lead to the victimisation of Ghanaians workers as that is the method they always adopt.I am fully in solidarity with the Ghanaian workers in Bivac.As for those who argue that the expatriates left their home country and so they deserve higher salaries is an insult to Ghanaians.How many Ghanaian workers in France receive salaries more than the French because they left the comfort of their home to work in a foreign land?If we continue to live with this backward mentality,expatriates will always cheat us.Those Ghanaian workers who have shamefully turned their back to their own because of expatriates are a disgrace to say the least.Sometimes I do not blame these expatriates because politicians are in bed with them and they are ready to renew their contract.I want to send this harmless caution to the management of Bivac to quickly resolve this issues with their workers or risk losing their contract.A word to the wise is enough.

If you address your staff who work tirelessly for the company to generate this huge sums of money every month as idiots, dumb and lazy workers what response do you expect? Is that comment to you the best way of addressing workers grievances? They sowed what they are reaping so stop threatening people and rather advise them to be mindful of their reaction next time. Their reaction is enough to let the public know how the staff suffer from their hands. Do you have an idea how long this workers have endured these pain before voicing out today? If an operation manager can scream at workers as though they are next to her house help who in some well trained homes are treated with reverence when there is an issue instead of listening to the workers for for their side of the story but all these are endured by the workers. And this l believe you know if only you are an insider that it is no lie. Find out the number of workers suffering from back pain because of bad chairs and the number of times reported without any good response. How much at all will it cost bivac to provide comfortable chairs for its staff not for personal use but official? All these endured amidst the terrible conditions of service. We must however admit that sometimes Ghanaians are poorly paid as compared to foreigners even for equal work. If working legally in France and you are an African, you will NEVER be paid more than a French for equal pay. This issue should be amicably resolved but 25% bonus is way too much above any level. The workers should consider that they are lucky to have work to do and are being paid. Many in Ghana have worked for months without pay, let alone bonuses.

The company is obligated by law to pay workers for work done but no company is obligated by law to pay bonus to workers so if you are lucky a company is paying bonus you need to thank your star,you get pay what you negotiate for,the expatriates negotiated for what they are being paid.
Some of us work for companies that stopped paying bonus but we have no choice but to continue working perhaps we are happy with what we are making and some that pay bonus don't make it regular tax but make it luxury tax making the receivers to lose almost have of what they take in taxes.
If they don't want what is given them they should just quit,there are millions looking for job and may not even get the rice to eat.

Claiming there were no jobs for about 10 workers.
And this is because management of Bivac has plans of taking away jobs from Ghanaians to India,
Already they delay shipments. And don't treat their workers well.
The rest of the team are facing lots of hardships. Leaving office as late as 21:00
The idea behind this is to cut down cost.
Bivac is multreating their staff,
And l believe, the idea is to frustrate a lot of workers to leave so they can take all the job to India which suppose to be their backup. Because the labour in India is cheap.
But l think it never the best to take away jobs from the ppl of Ghana.

The french company then employ's Ghanaians make them work from 8:00am to 8:00pm which is against the labour laws in Ghana and at end of the month the French company recieves Millions of Dollars as comision from the ministry of trade and industry. You can confirm the amount paid to this company from the financial report of the ministry of trade and industry.
Out this millions of dollars comision received monthly from the ministry trade, each Ghanaian employee is paid less than Gh¢1000 as salary. What happens to the rest of the money? Its taken to france.
But its amazing that you have some Ghanaians employees in support of this day light robbery because they make them feel special by making them managers and adding some Gh¢1000 to their take home.
Can this be done in any part of the world? Please check the salaries of bivac employee in Ivory Coast, liberia, kenya tanzania, etc, they are paid in US Dollars. So How come Ghanaians are being taken granted. Our own money, our own sweat is this not slavery in white suits.

Stop talking about large or huge workforce and were would they get money to pay them, find out how much revenue they generate a month, Bivac generates a lot of money per month and transfers all these monies in foreign currency outside the country leaving their workers and the Ghanaian economy impoverished. My take on all this is that the workers are unhappy which is obvious. End of year bonuses i know are negotiable. 25% is just 3 months salary which the company can afford. In any case it is a negotiation start point so they can sit down with union and discuss this. Negotiations can go in favour of one party or another or they both win favourably. Secondly, management should not brag about giving bags of rice and oil if the people are not happy about salaries and bonuses. My mind tells me, if u pay them well you wont even have to bother with rice and oil afterall that can be a gift.
The workers are human. Years of treating them like animals and slaves will make them unhappy and cause rioting in the future. So please find a way to meet with them and even if you have no solutions tell them something they want to hear- what i learnt from winning friends.
The insults must cease please. Calling your bosses thieves and stuff wont help fight your cause. Use the channels approved by your company to solve your issues. They may not listen but the whole world is watching now.

i was once a staff of bivac and my contract was not renewed because i was maternity leave. i thank God for exposing the heartless management of this wicked company.
I was a former staff and Bivac always treat workers as slaves. management makes their monies and then leave the staff to starve. I have heard that they plan to show the workers so be on guard.
