When Kwaku Baako informed us about the atrocities of Kwesi Pratt during PNDC Regime, some of us did not believe until the truth was confirmed during the NRC. Kwesi Pratt is the most dangerous Journalist Ghana had ever have, he had the gut to recommend his fellow journalists to be executed by PNDC. Pratt even recommended Baako to be killed by the regime, thank God Baako was instead touchered violently and severely but his life was spared. This is what Kwesi Pratt can do. Now Pratt is a secret agent to NDC and US Embassy in Ghana. May God forgive Pratt and spare him the untold evils that will come upon him and his generations. The souls of those journalist killed through Pratt's recommendations to PNDC will never forgive Pratt. Now Pratt has the guts to take Diplomatic Passport and smuggled his weak-headed children to work at the Ministries under Mills NDC, may God forgive Pratt and his dependance and spare them of the evils ahead of them...

When Mahama allows even illiterates to mount the platform to sing his praises at congress, how will he think of using scientists. He knows scientists who are elite in the society will point out his faults to him and will prefer to go with illiterates who does not see anything wrong with his government. See what they are doing to Ivor Greenstreet for telling the truth about the state of affairs in Ghana. Mahama prefers to hear what he wants to hear and this, of course, will not come from scientists but illiterates whom he has surrounded himself with. But time will tell.

Most people are inn the liberal arts and finance sector that is why Africa is not developing. In school , most of the learned guys were the Science guys but no disrepect to others the people ruling the country are different. We need to enlist the resources of all vocatons;technicians, artisans, engineers agriculturists, health personnel,IT people etc to help African become a manufacturing continent. Look at the Ghana Stock Exchange full of financial servcies where are the Ghanaian owned firms driving the country.

The Professor and scientist is right. African leaders have no clue the creativity of its people. I live in the US and have about 6 outstanding patents in power generation and utilization. I have also met some African colleagues who have more patents than I do, but when the Presidents visit the US they spend no time to sit with us and present their vision for their countries.
Please look for a selfless and patriotic Ghanaian to lead Ghana. Multi-Party Democracy does not work for any third world country because of differences in party ideologies that leaves countries vulnerable to outside influences and corruption.
There are a lot of very smart and creative Ghanaians out there if utilized can help solve this countries problems.

There are a lot of Ghanaian scientists spread behind most of the activities in western developed world contributing and acquiring more knowledge and waiting for the time when it will come to the senses of the leadership to extend their hand. It breaks the hearts to see the ignorant destruction on the country with such impunity and boldness

When politicians are thinking of where and how their relatives, friends ,tribesmen and themselves can get money you say scientists. There are a loy of good guys in Ghana not even scientists, civil servants can even do the job if politicians will take rheir advice instead of corrupting them and forcing themvto do their bidding. All the so called politicians in ghana are people who can talk and know how to steal. Theyvonly come to steal and destroy.Right now go to NPP you will find out that because there is the perception that NDC is not doing well and that it is most likely that NPP will come back, there is so much tension and lobbying because of posts. An avenue for people to enrich themselves. People are put in positions because they have served the party well. So that is your compensation. People who are unemployed or even have never worked or even headed department or even have a few guys under him as a worker , are made ministers or deputy ministers in chargecof important ministries. Suddenly they have command over resources both matetial and human. How can such people perform.
One way is for parties to create their own bureaucracy and find ways of funding so that party faithfuls are employed in party offices to do party businesses. Then the government can appoint competent and experienced people to run government business. In a siruation where party men fill positions whether they are competent or not won't help Ghana. To the extent that other parties in opposition thinks that we should sharecthe posts so that we too we can chop. So they are crying that the winner takes all is not good only because they too they want to chop. Regions think their people should be there because it is sharing of national cake. So you find useless person from nowhere being giving some sensitive post because of regional balance . Evety region should chop some. The post is chop chop . All Ghanaians are guilty. We have not created the room for competent people to do the work for us.

It works this way-the visionary leader has vision. Moving forward demands scientific innovation. So the leader calls scientist , explain his vision seek their advice and then task them to come up with something. They crack svientis together and they work and get results. It is only Kwame Nkrumah who was that kind and that drove him to set up CSIR, UST, ATOMIC COMMISSION and other institutions but unfortunately Ghanaians most of whom are of little minds keep on advancing arguments that even won't prick people to look back and correct our mistakes. They have rejected him. But I am sure we will gradually do what he wad doing. It rather take time since these things will come as new to Ghanaians even Nkrumah had proposed it long ago. Just like the Bui dam. At the time Nkrumah was over thrown the dam was uder construction. Russian had brought in machinery, they had established their camp , engineers were on site, Ghanaian ingineers who were to understudy them were on site at least I can SB Arthur and Prof YAN Acheampong. They are both alive. We drove the russians away, and even stated that the Akosombo dam was a grandiose project because we were using only 3 turbines . And why we should even extend electricity to Togo bcause Nkrumah wanted to take the whole Africa. After so many years Kuffuor saw the need to construct the Bui dam. It came as something new to Ghanaians. They won't even say Nkrumah was doing it but it wad inturrupted. We treated it as if it is new in Ghana. That is what the CPP should tell Ghanaians. It is not Socialism because no one likes socilalism. Nkrumah just paid a lip service to it and I wonder why he did that. It is the individual projects and plans which are still viable today.look at the job 600. His enemies derided him. They even brought American experts who said the building would sink in 6 years time. The building is still there and for so many years there is no building or few buildings in Ghana can compare.
Ghana, if we don't take care we will never go forward.when Nkrumah was going scientific, because he saw that science is the basis for advancement his opponent said he was moving too fast.
Our politicians can to well if they are brainy, research based, can do unbiased research into the projects of Nkrumah, his thinking , what he wanted to do, as well as Busia, Kuffuor, Jb Danquah , Rawlings. Contributions of other people and organisations etc they would educate themselves and have a focus. The would avoid something like setting up SADA and staffing it with only northeners who go there to mess up. You would look for good people-experienced aagric economists, soil c
Scientists, crop scientists, agronomists, wheather men, agribusinessmen and social scientists etc. But you put northern politicians and friends there and they see it as an opportunity to enrich themselves
