Did you hear the Officer's funny statement? " If we start whipping people do not blame anyone." If there's report of Police Officers' taking bribes when do you start whipping people? Why not now? A thieve cannot whip another for stealing.

This is the biggest loop hole for Ghana police and nothing is being done about it!
How can a person reports a case to the police and the police after writing the report will not give a copy of the report to the complainer? The police in Ghana will keep the report to themselves and collect money from both parties of the case and rewrite the report as he wishes to please the highest bidder and since the complainant does not have a copy of the original report from the police he becomes defenseless.

The Policemen and women are only interested in extorting money from whoever they come into contact with.It does not matter if you are an armed robber,drug trafficker,driver etc
Can't the nation do something about this serious issue,What at all is happening to Ghana.

He is the go to guy when someone wants to intimidate someone with the police. I have personally met him try to extort money from a guy in nima and it took the vigilance of abt 8 guys to make before he let go he was wrong. He never comes with a warrant he assaults and when he wants to arrest guys on motor cycles with no helmets, they cross the with their cars or open doors and injure them. They don't stop the guys like sensible police would do. Believe it or not they have a motor abt nima. If they are hungry or broke they say lets go to nima. The incident that happened at Marwako came abt as a deep seated anger from the youth bcos of the police if something is not done one day it will get worse..

If ghana want to move forward, gov. Officials, police, etc must be put into law therefore fired n go to jail when break the law, ghanaians need to follow the law

As for the Madina police officers the least said the better.

This, I say, is a strong departmental move that would go a long way to at least repair some of their damaged prestige.

I was sitting in front of a trotro last week and on arriving at the barrier, the driver requested his mate saying: mame wan ghana cedi mefa ma saa kwasia fo. meaning: give me one ghana cedi to give to these foolish people.The police office came close to the driver's side and clandestinely collected the one ghana cedi. After we passed the barrier, passengers who saw the police officer take the money generated arguments condemning the police for shamelessly collecting GHs1

Not only on mttu. At madina, the divisional crime officer is corrupt and a criminal. He aids landguards by extorting monies from them and these morons in turn harrass legitimate land developers.
