About 32 years ago the Nigerian government thanked educated and non-educated Ghanaians living in Nigeria for their services and asked them to leave. Ghanaians were sacked. Nigerians remind themselves daily of that event by calling a certain bag "Ghana must go" and they seem to enjoy the memory of it.
Do you have amnesia?? GBC do you have amnesia?? Remind your fellow Ghanaian.
It does not matter what the Progress Party did 10 years before their decision asking foreigners living in Ghana to obtain residency permits. The Progress Party's action was before ECOWAS was formed but Nigeria's action took place after the formation of ECOWAS.
Remind your neighbor!

Any Tunisian or Burkina bee-style revolution in this country will have to start from the parliament as it happened in Burkina Faso. Our parliamentarians are so hopeless that the Executive can easily manipulate them to deplete our coffers, or even twist their arms to become an iron fist dictator. If someone hadn't blown whistle on the GNPC's $700mln dubious loan, the booty could have been shared and squandered without our notice. And our Parliament should have been at the forefront calling for the CEO to resign.
Obviously, Ghanaians are still not hearing the whole story, and we may never know exactly what the money was going to be used for. We believe that GNPC would have hurriedly approached the parliament for approval, if the massaged justification given by the CEO was true and the company had nothing to hide. Why is "our democracy designed to keep everything about officialdom in the darkest part of the alley?"
This whole thing smells like a stinking rot, and the so-called representatives of the people, hired and over paid to examine and authorize spending, must live up to the expectation. They have a duty to make sure that the dubious loan is either cancelled or used for the intended purpose, and not allow it to go down the drain into the pockets of stomach politicians and their cronies as usual.

If a case is in court can a democratic Gov't take such action? Ghana is doomed under NDC.
