The gender minister who has gone AWOL on child and women abuse since she became a minister. How loud she was on these matters when NPP was in power. How can soldiers investigate soldiers and expect a different outcome?

I think we use the soldiers for the wrong reasons in this country. How can a soldier fully armed be invited to bring a situation under control where the students have not even a blade on them .

This Amesu guy is rather bringing the name of the great Amnesty ain't into disrepute. Wha is this "I believe some touring might have occurred"??? You believe? Might have?? Look go up there and interview the students yourself and check the veracity of the allegations, instead of siting in Accra and giving radio and TV interviews. Do you have proof or not? If you don't then shut up. If you do, then let it bare for all of us to see. Stop this nonsense of I believe, I believe. Mtchewww!

This is clearly a human rights, civil rights, constitutional rights issue that should have seen the Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection working in concert with the Ministry of Education to condemn in the most strongest possible terms yet, the objectionable and abhorrent act and behaviour of the Military High Command in advancing military troops and forces to enter the premises of the Wa Islamic SHS school in the first place and secondly, in subjecting the students of the school to such inhumane treatment, psychological torture and trauma, physical abuse and a gross infringement of their fundamental, constitutional, civil and human rights.
The military forces needn't have been there, they shouldn't have been in the school first and foremost.
Under no circumstances should the military or the Ghana Armed Forces been seen in that school or any school for that matter, be it basic, second cycle or tertiary institution.
Where is the outrage from the Minister of Education? Where is the outrage from the Gender, Children and Social Protection Minister?
We would want to believe that, these two ministers are well travelled and might have schooled or attended some seminars or courses in advanced and developed countries such as the USA or the UK or they most likely would have read about happenings in such jurisdictions.
Have they in the normal course of their work seen the military or army of the USA or the UK gov't, deploying and advancing troops and their special forces, to enter high schools to subject students to such inhumane treatment over official notices which did not sit well with the students?
The actions of the military/armed forces was very, very wrong and the rather very loud silence of the human rights as well as child protection activist and Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection- Madam Nana Oye Lithur as well as the Minister of education-Madam Jane Naana Opoku Agyeman is most appalling and totally unacceptable.
The increasing militarization and adoption of scare tactics, coercion, brute force and violence from the Mahama NDC gov't employing the security apparatus of the State, is reckless, irresponsible and totally unacceptable. An unqualified apology from the Military High command and a commitment to ensure a sanitized and civil environment for the articulation of views no matter how unpleasant to the gov't of the day, is part of the democratic tenets of civil societies, and should be the main focus and thrust of the armed forces and not the brutalization of the citizenry.

One find it difficult to understand these so called CSOs and what they stand for, if not not only soliciting public undeserved recognition. Is that amnesty man saying it is ok for the soldiers to look on while the students vandalize and destroy school property? I think you are confused about how you perceive human rights. Your right ends where my nose begins. Get real, get serious.
