Any Tunisian or Burkina bee-style revolution in this country will have to start from the parliament as it happened in Burkina Faso. Our parliamentarians are so hopeless that the Executive can easily manipulate them to deplete our coffers, or even twist their arms to become an iron fist dictator. If someone hadn't blown the whistle on the GNPC's $700mln dubious loan, the booty could have been shared and squandered without our notice. And our Parliament should have been at the forefront calling for the CEO to resign.
Obviously, Ghanaians are still not hearing the whole story, and we may never know exactly what the money was going to be used for. We believe that GNPC would have hurriedly approached the parliament for approval, if the massaged justification given by the CEO was true and the company had nothing to hide.
This whole thing smells like a stinking rot, and the so-called representatives of the people, hired and over paid to examine and authorize spending, must live up to the expectation. They have a duty to make sure that the dubious loan is either cancelled or used for the intended purpose, and not allow it to go down the drain into the pockets of stomach politicians and their cronies as usual.

Why are the MPs thinking about what kind of attires they should wear on Saturday to conduct official business in the interest of our dear country? If they know what to wear to attend funerals on Saturday, they should be able to know what to wear. This is insane to hear this from elected MPs. They should know that they were elected to serve. If they don't know what to wear on Saturday to conduct business which they were elected to perform, they should go NAKED. It's about time Ghanaians put Ghana first.
