The fishermen should be educated that the use of dynamite in fishing is not only destroying the habitat but also destroying their future livelihoods.

And all fish landed on the shores should be tested for dynamite residue. If you are found to be using dynamite a 6 months jail sentence would deter others from such bad behaviour

Truly, our people need education, in all their trades.
It is very sad people think of "today" only. Worse is, when consumers begin dying, we will blame it on witchcraft instead the poisoning

No doubt Ghanaians have been dying like flies.

The government should take serious action against these fishermen. Undercover Inspectors should meet these fishermen to inspect their catches when they return from fishing to determine whether proper methods were used in their operations. They can even meet them on the lake and inspect their stock.

If found guilty, they should face severe penalties including the confiscation of their outboard motors.
