If this Dawood NDC ccoaine trafficker

Now he is only a suspect, the authorities now have the burden to prove he was really involved in the drug smuggling, calling somebody on the phone to let people use the VIP alone is not enough to link him to the crime, these people will have difficulty to prove in court he knew the ladies were carrying drugs unless they have evidence to prove he was involved in the drug trade but to say he was innocent when the trial has not even started is senseless.

BOY KOFI, either BNI or Alhaji is telling the truth but both can't. Whatever the fact is, BNI must be careful because it can easily lose this case. What BNI has to do in court is to establish a direct link between Alhaji Dawood and the call to the Assistant Director making the request to allow Nayele and the two women to use the VIP/VVIP. That could be done either by tracing phone records of Alhaji on the day the so-called phone call was placed to the Assistant Director or the calls received on the phone the call was answered.
The words of the Assistant Director alone may not be enough proof that Alhaji Dawood made that call unless BNI can established some ongoing relationship between Alhaji Dawood and the Assistant Director.
BNI should find out from the Assistant Director, the date Alhaji Dawood made the call to him and requested for the use of VIP/VVIP for the three women. Which phone he received the call on and trace the call. This is very simple by going to the service provider and asking for the details. The SIM card could also hold such records if a mobile phone was used.

If Alhaji was able to travel out of the country after the arrest of Ruby and return safely to his home without any hinderance then the guy is a notorious criminal.I have no evidence to say what went on between Alhaji and Ruby but I am baffled with the tactics Alhaji is using to defend himself. The subjected matter is that BNI announced that they arrested Alhaji at the Airport when he landed from Nigeria.Today,Alhaji has refuted the claim by saying he went to the BNI by himself and his lawyer has confirmed the story.I can say Alhaji and his lawyer are blatant liars and trying to play political gambit.Knowing very well the political tension about his case,he is trying to exploite the security lapses in the system as he has been doing perfectly well to his advantage. The declaration made by Alhaji has only one objective, that is to discredit the BNI completely in the eyes of the public. This time around his tactics will not work because if the BNI comes out with detailed record of his arrest then Alhaji is a finished. On the other hand, how did he escape the vigilance of the security officers at the entry points? On the contrary,if what Alhaji is saying turns out to be true then ofcourse there is no case. What I'm trying to convey here is that if we have dishonest security officers what would you expect the prosecutors and judges to do?Thank you.

This guy may be a drug baron based on his activities as people may know but there is no way he can be convicted if they have no evidence to link him with the crime in question, calling a corrupt official to let her friends use VIP to board a flight may be wrong but I don't think it is a crime in Ghana, they have to prove he knew the girls were carrying drugs and he was involved in that drug trade.
The worse that may happen to him if they don't find any evidence to link him to the drug is breach of security but even that they will have to prove he knew it was wrong to use that facility, the people who breached security are the officials at that facility.

"calling a corrupt official to let her friends use VIP to board a flight may be wrong but I don't think it is a crime in Ghana,"
Corney, you are right if that is all what they have on this guy but I believe they might have more evidence linking him to the cocaine seized in London than just a mere call to a friend to do him a favor.
As you wrote, that is not a crime. I have also be wondering what they have to arrest those two other ladies who travelled to London with Ruby Adu-Gyamfi aka Nayeli Ametefe.
What are they charging those two ladies with? Do they have the five kilograms of cocaine each these two ladies are rumoured to have carried to London? That has also been a mystery because the Security and Customs at Heathrow has not said anything about ten kilograms of that has been found in Heathrow.
Going to London and returning immediately or the following day is not a crime, is it? I really will like to read what they have charged these ladies with as going through VVIP or VIP is not a crime.
The BNI hurriedly arrested people without [proper investigation as about six of the people they arrested have been released without any connection to the cocaine saga.

Calling somebody alone is not enough to get conviction, they have to get something such as text messages which involves discussions on the drug business but to say because he called before the ladies were allowed to use the facility is bogus,it will not fly in court,it was based on that the guy returned to Ghana through the advice of his lawyer, the government will have difficulty proving that in court, the laws must work but not what we the ordinary people want.

IN WHAT CAPACITY DID MR DAWOOD WHO IS A BUSINESSMAN INSTRUCT THE OFFICER TO ASSIST NAYALE?
DOES THE OFFICER INCHARGE TAKE ORDERS FROM MR DAWOOD?
DID MR DAWOOD IN ANY WAY INDUCE THE OFFICER?
DID MR DAWOOD'S REQUEST CARRIED OUT UNDER DURESS?
HAS MR DAWOOD EVER MADE SUCH A REQUEST TO THE OFFICER BEFORE?
IN MY OPINION, A MERE REQUEST MADE BY MR DAWOOD FOR NAYELE TO USE THE VIP LOUNGE CANNOT BE A JUSTIFICATION OF HIS INVOLVEMENT IN THE CRIME COMMITTED BY NAYELE.
ALSO THE ALLEGED TELEPHONE CONVERSATION BETWEEN MR DAWOOD AND THE OFFICER CAN ONLY BE PROVEN BY THE OFFICER AND IT WILL BE HIS WORD AGAINST MR DAWOOD'S WORD, UNLESS THE CONVERSATION WAS RECORDED.
I RESERVE ANY FURTHER COMMENT UNTIL I SEE THE CHARGE PREFERED AGAINST MR DAWOOD

When Alhaji Dawood, (or Deadwood?) decided to return to Accra and "voluntarily" handed himself to the BNI - not the Ghana Police - he was not being foolhardy. He also knows he is not a human rat like Usain Bolt. Well, he either knew from the bottom of his heart that he could only have stuffed Nayele with himself but not with cocaine. He could not run, or he could run but not hide. One thing for sure, he knew he was covered! Nayele had been briefed by agents of Victor Smith not to name any names. Obviously, it wasn't he who delivered the "gold" to Nayele on the BA aircraft. Somebody else did. They should tell us who did, and where that person got the carry-on suitcase from. The security agencies must stop beating about the bush and setting a stage whilst main cast and actors are kept behind the curtains.

How did he manage to get to the bni by himself?? I mean does he know that he's involved in the case?? If he knew, why be a fool to go there rather than run away?? Maybe he wanted to be districting he life and that's fine

Simpa, exactly as you have said. Am thinking these big players made Nayele to make contact with Dawood knowing very well he has the ability to take them through the VVIP. I believe he is just a Pawn in this whole mess.
