The mere fact that Bagabaga College of Education was established in 1944, and was one of the oldest educational institutions in northern Ghana, disproves the myth being peddled around that Nkrumah introduced Education into the North. In fact, Western Education had been introduced into the North long before Kwame Nkrumah became prime-minister of the Gold Coast.
Northern leaders like S.D Dombo, Jato Keleo, B.K Adama, Tolon Naa, Bawumia and many others might have even completed their education and started their careers, long before Nkrumah was brought to the Cold Coast from the UK to serve as a General Secretary of the group that was fighting for our independence.
It was, therefore, disappointing to see Mr. Mahama plying dirty politics by honouring Nkrumah where he shouldn't have been honoured at all because; Kwame Nkrumah didn't have anything to do with the establishment of BAC. By his action, Mr. Mahama is deliberately perpetuating the myth that Nkrumah civilized Northers by introducing Education to them.
Even the much talked about free education that Mr. Mahama himself enjoyed was initiated and put forward for adoption by S.D Dombo, as a bargain or political horse trading to accept Nkrumah's unitary state proposal, and not any humanitarian initiative by him to enlighten Northern Ghanaians.

"The good citizen must be one who does not allow an elected Government, even if it be of his political party of choice, to take his nation for an avoidable experimentation that would affect good democratic governance and good human capital development through commission or omission or sheer incompetence. Ghana and an NDC Government have fought the menace of drug trafficking and other serious crimes before and can do so again with appropriate commitment from patriotic and visionary leadership."

GHANA'S PARLIAMENT:------------
The Minority Leader Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu says a whopping amount of $23 billion cannot be accounted for by the NDC government from 2009 till date. The amount forms a large chunk of a $27 billion loan contracted by the Mills and Mahama government for purposes of infrastructural development.
The Suame MP made the revelation on the floor of Parliament Wednesday, to wind up the debate on the 2015 Budget Statement.
According to him, the NDC administration has since 2009 borrowed over $27 billion, an amount which did not include oil proceeds and government revenues. Unfortunately, he added, 90 percent of the money had gone into recurrent expenditure.
"In the 2015 budget the Minister of Finance has enumerated a number of signature projects that have been financed by these borrowings since 2009…the total expenditure of which come to $3.5 billion out of the $27 billion borrowed. So where is the rest of the money?" he demanded.
"How do you account for the $23.5 billion, Mr. Minister?" he demanded further. He hinted the minority will haul the Minister of Finance before the House to answer to Ghanaians what the unaccounted amount was used for.

Look, just give credit where due, even to your enemy. The simple fact is that left to you and your Dombo cliques only a few favored Citizens up North would have ever seen the Classroom.
Dombo joined the Busias and Danquahs only because he was in favor of the system the two were fighting for that would allow the Traditional Chiefs wield their so-called pre-ordained monarchical powers over the masses they called their subjects. The Federalism that the UP/NLM favored would have guaranteed that huge control of the component States by the Traditional Chiefs, something the Royals in Ghana had lost under the British subjugation. And these Royals did not want to see those Powers still kept down in Accra under any form of Unitary Government after the British had left.
How many folks had seen the classroom in the North, before our Independence, relative to the Population of the area? Similarly, many in the South could never have gone to school under the existing system of Education prior to the Compulsory Free Primary Education, even with all the relatively better known natural resources in the South.
Not many families had the financial resources to pay for even the Primary School Fees. And in the North, without disparaging fellow Citizens there, the conditions were harder to make ends meet for families to earn enough, at that time, to cater for School Fees. Ironically, it is the same group Dombo aligned with that later called for the abrogation of the free Education in the North. They hated using our Cocoa money from down South to provide children in the North free Education. How do you like that?
This is the truth, Sir, based on facts. You are entitled to your own opinion but you cannot manufacture the facts that existed then to suit your blatant political bias.
The decision to provide free Education in the North up to the Secondary School was by overwhelming Parliamentary consensus. Not just an imposition by Nkrumah's CPP for any selfish partisan glory. Be grateful to the Lord that our leaders of the time made that decision, and humbly give credit to them for that one thing they did right.
If you are going to brand me some insane Socialist Nkrumahist for setting this record straight with you, go ahead. It does not bother me. The truth must be told. Learn to stand by the truth, even if it diminishes the estimation of your favorites.
Long Live Ghana!!!

Sheer incompetency, majority of them attended school and finished with no school certificates and cannot even remember which school they attended. Everything they know about economics is buying and selling. Creativity has eluded them; they only result to insult when they are at their wits end. And use “PATAPAA” to cover their shameful silly behaviour. Their silly self esteemed and endemic mental slavery, which was handed down to them by their forefathers, is what is still holding this country abay. When thinkers are trying to fix problems, all you can see these sons of anarchist doing is manufacturing how to destroy.

I am more frustrated with Parliamentary aloofness that allows the Executive alone to dictate where such vital expenditures must occur.
The President should not be allowed to disburse such huge portions of our national expenditure without Parliamentary examination and approval of his proposals on such. There seems to be a certain rubber stamp of all the President's budgetary decisions without proper scrutiny by Parliament.
The fact that the NDC has the majority in Parliament does not mean its members there must always blindly allow the President to have his way without due diligence in scrutinizing his proposals for using the funds.
In fact, it is a shame that the Parliament has no effective machinery to follow up all the Government expenditures to ensure projects meant to use allocated funds are progressing. That is one reason why many of the projects initiated with Public funds never get completed.
If the Minority Parties had been dutiful enough to follow up all the Projects for which the President's budgets had been allocated, most of the squandered monies could have been saved before too late.
