It's fine to get a good place of worship; however, when the people are ignorant, illiterate and lack functional education that will prepare them to compete in this knowledge-based economy, trust me, all the preaching would not make much of a difference in their lives. I'd implore the leadership of the church to invest more of their tithes and offering into establishing modern primary schools with all the resources.

That is why pastors close their eyes to sources of the money. Drive around Accra and see the poverty! kayayeis under bridges, filth, beggars, and all the churches are preoccupied with crusades in which people switch from one church to another church, gargantuan billboards of Rev Dr, Pastor Prof, Apostle dr.,....Tweaaaaaaaaaaaa.
There is more salvation at home than in church. If Jesus were to come back He would go straight to 99% of the churches and whip and throw the charlatans out of His fathers house.

Who taught making a living from preaching?
Paul quoted Jesus by saying: “The Lord has commanded that those who preach the gospel should receive their living from the gospel.” 1 Corinthians 9:3 {for more info See 2 Corinthians 11:5-15}
Jesus said “As you go, preach this message: The kingdom of heaven is near. ... Freely you have received, freely give. Do not take along any gold or silver or copper in your belts; take no bag for the journey, or extra tunic, or sandals or a staff; for the worker is worth his keep.” Matthew 10:7-10 Nowhere in the Bible was Jesus quoted with a different teaching.

Ibn, you've quoted this scripture to support the flamboyant lifestyles of our modern day preachers? The preaching of the "prosperity gospel" has done more harm to the church; and making some of our pastors think they're God Himself and should enjoy the best of everything. Meanwhile, the ordinary congregant can't afford to pay the child's school fees and I tell you, it's none of the church business. The church pays for the pastor's kids to be in well-resourced expensive private schools in the neighborhood. Is this your interpretation of the scripture,Ibn?

on the contrary bro,Four of Paul’s letters, all four of unquestionable authenticity, convey his teachings: the Epistle to the Romans and the rather similar Epistle to the Galatians, as well as the two letters to the Corinthians. Paul had not heard Jesus preach: and if his preaching had been ethical in part, Paul did not consider that to be of any crucial importance. As he said in his first Epistle to the Corinthians, “When I came to you, brethren…..I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and him crucified.” 2:1 And “We preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block, to the Greeks a folly” 1:23
Therefore, Paul represents that root that emits poison and the one who is considered the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. He had no authority or right to change the covenant between Moses and God and to preach to the Jews to abandon the law, regardless of he attempted to rationalize this concept.
