Power supply must be addressed in a holistic way, that is the supply chain. We should not focus the symptoms. Unfortunately, this is what Tarzan appears to be condoning.

Look at telephone service 10 years ago..You where walking to pay phone and inserting coins to talk..No because of competion between network operators and handset manufactures..You can have the same phones as UK or USA have..Private company that have money that Ghana gov is not willing to pay to get gas from Nigeria or by boat..can be gotten from Huge Power companys like CON-Ed of New York or Southern companys of the south USA...They enter into multi-year contracts for coal,gas supplys! Even Delta airlines was able to take a failing oil refinery in usa and retool it for max jet fuel output saving them and their competitors billions of dollars! Ghana gov job is not to provide work for lazy people...Regular electric and water & phone service will allow factorys and even jobs as call centers to expand..Currently most night and last night customer service calls are outsourced to India since they also speak english!

Privitization is not the solution to the problem. Selling it to a foreign investor would only worsen the problem.

It is said that while some districts pay high electricity tariffs others pay next to nothing. It is also said that within the same neighborhoods in the Accra/Tema Megapolis tariffs vary from house to house.

ECG should have been privatized together with Ghana Telecom. Its evident Ghana telecom was incompetent. Privatization is the only solution to the erratic power supply. We'll definitely pay more but we'll get our monies worth.

The Npp and Ndc are fond of being bereft of ideas and relying solely on selling hard earned state resources to the same people our forefathers fought sooo hard to get rid of.
If you are dumb doesn't mean we are all dumb??.
Get off the seat for more capable hands.
Ghana isn't only for Npp and Ndc contrary to what the sheep that follow them say.

A whole president made a directive without giving any reasons, and waited for the ECG personnel to threaten him before coming out to lie that he was preparing the Rev Ing for a soon to be established new ministry! This bogus president takes all Ghanaians for fools - but we all know who is a bigger fool!

Where are those privately held business entities in Ghana that have best practices, procedures and principles that makes them effective and efficient business models?
Currently we have a number of multi national banking and financial institutions with branches in Ghana with poorly scripted business operations in Ghana that are no different from locally held and owned banks. Then of course we have those entities which are in existence because of government contracts and connections. So what makes Wereko-Brobby think that a private entity that acquires a contract with the government of Ghana is going to be immune to the bad blood between the NDC and NPP? Would the propsed private entity depend on goverment for its financial survival and therefore subject to bribery and corruption of the highest political order depending on the party in power? People who love the NPP could give a rats ass how they cheat to get to power and people who love the NDC are thick skinned not to give a darn what others say as long as they are the majority party. So what is it that changes with EC changes if we have two corrupt and Godless political parties vie to see who can screw Ghana? Why should we pay dearly to have an expensive EC operations that does not change the size and level of public corruption?
