Any Tunisian or Burkinabee-syle revolution in this country will have to start from the parliament as it happened in Burkina Faso. Our parliamentarians are so hopeless that the Executive can easily manipulate them to deplete our coffers or even twist their arms to become a dictator. If someone hadn't blown the whistle on the GNPC's $700mln dubious loan, the booty could have been shared and squandered without our notice. And our Parliament should have been at the forefront calling for the CEO to resign.
Obviously, Ghanaians are still not hearing the whole story, and we may never know exactly what the money was going to be used for. We believe that GNPC would have hurriedly approached the parliament for approval, if the massaged justification given by the CEO was really true and the company had nothing to hide.
This whole thing smells like a stinking rot, and the so-called representatives of the people, hired and over paid to examine and authorize spending, must live up to expectation and do their work properly. They have a duty to make sure that the dubious loan is either cancelled or used for the intended purpose, and not allow it to go down the drain into the pockets of stomach politicians and their cronies as usual.

Mr. Mahama is exactly one of the visionless African leaders that have always been accused of misplacing their priorities. Does the NDC government think, despite the massive corruption, they can borrow recklessly and spend their way foolishly into another mandate after 2016, when the nation is over burdened with HIPC and workers wallowing in hunger and over taxed?
Governance under the NDC is all about deceit and 'opium of the people'. They enjoy everything under the sun and ask us to wait for our basic needs in heaven. They even didn't respect our intelligence when they asked us to wait for a paradise in three more years after their mandate. The truth is that, everything they promise is a mirage and we will never find comfort with them because; they are conmen with con plans.

Running a country is not about beauty or handsomeness. It is about wit, it is about knowledge, it is about wisdom, it is about caring for the people. It is not about stealing public money to make you look good. These stupid comments that do not bring development and add usefulness to the discourse should not be entertained and you people should not be carried away by stupid partisanship.

This NDC person does not know the Professor. He is more handsome than him or her and his or her father and grandfather. He is ten times wiser and more knowledgeable that the bull-faced NDC President. All that this President knows is finding ways to loot the coffers of this country. The followers of NDC should stop these idiotic personalization of issues and think like real people who wants to save this country from bankruptcy.
