BEFORE GHANA'S ECONOMY CAN MOVE SMOOTHLY INTO ACHIEVING THE SET GOALS,I WOULD SUGGEST THAT WE CONSIDER SOME OF THE BUDGET CUTS IN THE DEVELOPED COUNTRIES SUCH AS THE UK, USA, CANADA AND GERMANY. THESE COUNTRIES HAVE AVOIDED MANY FINANCIAL BURDENS SUCH AS NO FREE POLICY FOR MANY THINGS IN THEIR COUNTRIES. GHANA MUST STOP BOARDING SCHOOLS SYSTEM. GHANA MUST ADOPT THE PUBLIC SCHOOLS SYSTEM WHERE ALL PUBLIC SCHOOLS ARE DAY SCHOOLS.THESE SCHOOLS ARE LOCATED IN THE COMMUNITIES WHERE THE CHILDREN DO NOT HAVE TO TRAVEL MORE THAN FIVE KILOMETERS FROM HOME.NO GOVT TRANSPORTATION FOR CHILDREN. THEIR PARENTS DRIVE THEM TO AND FRO SCHOOL.NO SCHOOL UNIFORMS AND FREE SHOES. NO FREE COMPUTERS BECAUSE THE KIDS USE LATEST PHONES, IPADS AND TABLETS FOR THEIR STUDIES.NO BOARDING SCHOOLS FOR POST-SECONDARY TRAINING COLLEGES. THEY ARE ALL DAY SCHOOLS.SOME OF THEM ARE PRIVATE COLLEGES.NO BUSES,UNIFORMS AND STUDENT TRAINEE ALLOWANCES.ALL POST-SECONDARY EDUCATION IS BY STUDENTS LOANS.LET SSNIT TAKE CONTROL OF THE STUDENTS LOANS.NO GOVT FUNDING FOR RUNNING POST-SECONDARY EDUCATION EXAMPLE BOARDING, TRANSPORT, FEEDING ETC.ANOTHER MEANS TO SHRINK THE BUDGET IS SECURITY BARRACKS,GOVT ACCOMMODATION,CARS AND PERMANENT JOBS. EVERY WORKER SHOULD GO FOR AUTO LOANS AND MORTAGES.LET OUR AMBASSADORS,EX-STUDENTS AND CURRENT STUDENTS IN THOSE COUNTRIES TELL GHANAINS LIFE IN THE DEVELOPED COUNTRIES. GOVT SHOULD TAKE CARE OF OUR ROADS, HEALTH CARE, UTILITIES WITH THOSE FUNDS. POLICY IS DO NOT DEPEND ON GOVT TO GIVE YOU EVERYTHING. STRUGGLE FOR YOURSELF.
