WHY SHOULD WE PUT OUR LIVES IN THE HANDS OF ANOTHER COUNTRY WHEN WE CAN DO THAT OURSELVES. WHY DID NKRUMAH FIGHT FOR INDEPENDENCE FOR GHANA? WE SHOULD CONTINUE TO STAY IN DARKNESS IF WE THAT STUPID WITH OUR RESOURCES.

It is sad Ghanaians have lost the intellectual and academic abilities Ghana was known for, pre and immediate post independence, the current crop of Ghanaians are so stupid they can hardly think constructively on issues without resorting to insults and abuse even before they get to read and understant topics of discussion. Ghanaians have become so shallow thinkers they are unable to reason intellectually any longer. Ghanaians do not even understand the concepts of international business cooperations that gave birth to West African Gas pipeline and why not a Nigerian or a citizen of any of the participating cointries of Ghana, Togo, Benin is the Managing Director but a non West African indegine. No Ghanaian is reasoning along the line that the West African Gas project is not solely a Nigerian thing but in partnership with international companies of Chevron, ANI, Shell and Nigeria. Nigeria owns the Gas resources though but are co-partners in the project snd therefore does not take the decisions absolutely in who gets a supply of what quantum or not. Others own the technology and also invested money and therefore calls the shot and not Nigeria. The reasons why Ghanaians will continue to insult Nigeria smarks of ignorance and weak ability to think intellectually.

My appeal to Nigeria is to spare us the agony of frequent power outages by constantly supplying us with gas. We are fed up with the way we are being taken for a ride.

Nigeria still faces an immense challenge in terms of infrastructure deficits. Slow ports, bad roads and a lack of electricity are some of the major factors hampering business activity.
Despite its vast oil wealth, the last available World Bank figures from 2010 indicated that a staggering 84.5 percent of Nigeria's 170 million people lived on less than $2 a day.
"For the average person on the street, it (rebasing) really does not have any meaning," Pat Utomi, professor of political economy at the Lagos Business School, told AFP.
"To a very large extent, Nigeria remains a poor country with very serious infrastructural challenges," he said.
