  Maybe they better learn how to provide the VVIP lounge, or to send a whole delegation from the Ghana High Commission in London to give a hero's welcome at the world wide famous Heathrow Airport, with Victor Smith himself following up in jail

  Leave this man alone,he has served his sentence already and was in prison when the passport was issued,there is no way he will know the passport was forged and even common sense should tell us that the guy in prison in far away America cannot forge passport in far away Ghana.
  You need to question that your officer how that passport got lost in his office to find its way all the way to America.
  Too much corruption in Ghana.

  I am enjoying you participation on Ghanaweb. Amoateng was jailed in the US for possession of drugs. He is being tried in Ghana for possession of a forged passport, two totally different issues.

  His name did not innocently appear in the passport so do you not see any element of culpability in the commission of the crime-the passport being altered to bear his name? He could be in prison in the USA but the passport was targeted for his benefit and he used it was without any reservations so he is an accessory to the crime.

  It sounds like we have many questions that must be carefully looked at, and answered.
  We are compelled to assume:
  1). Amoateng acquired some passport-forms from the internet, completed these and added his photograph while in a US-Prison.
  2). The afore-mentioned forms did not get to the Passport Office, GIS but
  3). the complete(?)information (and signature) thereof appeared on (female) forms that had been used to process a Passport for a female(Barbara Inkum).
  4). The already issued (Barbara)-Passport together with the original corresponding forms, in the custody of GIS, disappear and end up in the possession of BNI who had earlier picked it.
  5). On August 5, commissioner of CID refers 'Amoateng forgery case' to ASP Lodonu, of CID headquarters that:
  " intelligence received from the BNI indicated that Amoateng’s passport was forged"
  6). "
  The witness said on August 7, a report was received from the CID Headquarters that Amoateng had arrived at the Airport and had presented the said passport suspected to be forged.

  Waist of judicial process. A forged passport was used by DisHon ex MP Amoateng to travel. Period. The original owner is not on trial. Enough grounds established to convict the accused.
