“In the last six years, the NDC has borrowed US$27 billion. Before that, we, the NPP, borrowed a total of US$5.5 billion in eight years. Compare that to the NDC borrowing $27 billion in six years and ask yourself what they have done with all that money,” the running mate to Nana Akufo-Addo said.

He said, though a lot more money has been spent, it is a paradox of economic management that this level of excessive spending has only led to greater hardships being visited on the people.

“NDC inherited a public debt stock of GHS9.5 billion in 2009,” the former Deputy Governor of the central bank said. “Today, Ghana’s debt has gone up to GHS65.7 billion. So when I say the stakes are high I am talking about the destiny of our country, Ghana, the future of the youth.”

“The NDC has been taxing everything, including condoms and cutlasses. In terms of resources, this NDC government has had more resources than any other government. We did not have oil. Yet, Ghanaians know what we did with the limited resources we had. We spent money responsibly to create the NHIS, introduce Capitation Grant, expand access to education, we spent wisely on infrastructure and built more roads than any other government,” he said.

Chief, I agree with you that a new ministry is not required to deal with the energy crisis. Instead, the President should have sacked the minister for Energy who has failed and is incompetent. All what is required is effective and efficient Energy Minister with one deputy who will be responsible for power generation and distribution. How can there be separate ministries for Energy and Power? Is power not part of Energy? Waste of scarce resources.

The President should have sacked the MD of ECG long time ago also for incompetence. Until Mahama takes on incompetent ministers and heads of public institutions, his presidency will fail abysmally.

One thing a know is that , if you perform well as a ruling party it doesn't matter what the opposition will say or do , people are mature enough to retain you.
But if you thing that the End will never come and you do what you think is only good for your party members and neglect the other citizens of the country, That's why you get busy defending yourself or the time like we see in the country. Both NDC and NPP. and all politicians in Ghana to day.

What is important is to tell us how this lady was able to take the cocaine out using the VVIP lounge. Explain to the world why was she allowed to use that lounge if indeed she was not holding a diplomatic passport since only such people are allowed to use that lounge. Again why isit that a deputy director has been arrested together with other security personnel at the aiport. Just explain and stop blaming NPP. Let the truth. One out or it will come out on its own based on the latest happenings. Ghanaian and not fools.

They may not win the drug debate as the NDC try to distance themselves from Ruby Mahama and Neequaye. But the NPP does not need any drug debate to topple the NDC. The NDC'S own affinity for corruption - epitomized by John Mahama's involvement in the inflated prices for the aircraft purchased from Brazill - will surely show Ghanaians how to vote come December 2016.
