These people are so messed up.Have they resorted to superficial price control to submerge inflation? Is it the only way Seth Terkper hopes to achieve his UNREALISTIC inflation target in the budget? This is an inferior tactic which reminds me of the Abongo Boys days.
It will not work.If you are afraid of high inflation, why impose the 17.5% VAT in the first place?Without corresponding increases in manufactured goods and services, inflation will still taunt John Mahama and the NDC government and Ghanaians.
I thought Seth Terkper would take advantage of the low crude oil prices on the world market, reduce the prices of refined petroleum products and lessen the burden on Ghanaians and provide an incentive to the Bank of Ghana to reduce its bank rate in order to bring down the cost of borrowing and stimulate growth in the industrial sector of our economy.
The VAT waiver should have been all embracing. The economy appears stalled and, consequently, indifferent to all the expenditures being made. The cogent reason there is high unemployment.
The economy is hitting workers hard and many have run out of ideas.
