Perhaps you can also go to court to seek further disclosure of the details you and your friends need to know about,after having vouched for true identity of this suspect,and confirmed that she is,in fact,the owner of an unidentified mansion located at East Legon!
You may be a UK national, or at least a tax-paying resident;so why you put in a Freedom of Information request,and try to obtain the info you are anxiously looking for,since this case is being handled by officials of the Home Office in the UK? I am always amazed at the nature of 'bizarre' demands some of you so-called 'enlightened' folks keep making on our over-burdened bureaucracy!

NACOB as a security agency do not have to convince anyone what they do or do not do to arrest or cause to arrest any criminal, because it could blow off the cover of some of their informants. Drug business is so complicated that is why even here in the US it has overwhelmed the security agencies, so they rely heavily on civilian informants as well.

I am just happy that the lady was busted in London and NOT Accra, because to be honest with you our justice system is so corrupt I believe this lady would be walking the streets of Accra in less than 3 months, if they had busted her in Accra.

I believe NACOB still needs to do better. Kofi I still respect your views a lot and I will always read your contributions because you exhibit a lot of intellectual honesty in your comments...No hard feelings....:)

It is also legal to have two nations passports, it is called dual citizenship. My gut feeling is she is really a Ghanaian known to the authorities that is why the Ghanaian authorities are sweating it and arresting journalist etc., have you pondered why the Austrians are mute about this issue, because it is not their problem.

He claimed to be an American major general, charming lonely British women through online dating sites with stories of his bravery dodging bombs and saving lives.

But in reality the dashing war hero they fell in love with was Ghanaian fraudster Maurice Asola Fadola, who conned victims out of £800,000 to pay for his lavish mansion in his homeland.

Yesterday Fadola was unmasked as one of the world’s most prolific online dating fraudsters as he was jailed for five years in Ghana for a series of international romance scams. He targeted women across Britain, France, Sweden, Italy and the US.

The conman, thought to be in his 40s, preyed on at least 19 British victims by peddling an elaborate web of lies.

He said he needed cash to pay for a legal dispute to get his war medals, emergency medical treatment, customs charges or even to buy his way out of the army.

Using pictures of US servicemen sourced from the web, he duped other women into bogus investment schemes and lured them to Ghana where he posed as an official overseeing the money transaction, impressing his victims with his towering gold-plated and marble-clad villa in Accra.

Some of his victims were left penniless and homeless.

Dena White, of Market Weighton, East Yorkshire, lost her home after using £50,000 of her savings and re-mortgaging her property in 2009 to help the man she knew as Steve Moon in a legal dispute over the impounding of his war medals.

Fadola convinced the 57-year-old widow, who had just lost her husband of 26 years to cancer, that he could not get access to his cash because he was serving in Iraq.

The pair chatted through a dating website for hours each day. She said: ‘Of course I was wary but everything he told me seemed to check out.

'He’d send me poetry. It sounds silly now but we were in love.’

A 52-year-old victim, a married mother of two, lost £271,000 after paying to release a suitcase supposedly containing £5.2million which her online US soldier boyfriend said he had smuggled out of Iraq.

It was Fadola’s attempts to seek a British visa which was to be his undoing. It disclosed his true identity to the National Crime Agency which was working with the Ghanaian police in connection with the case of a disabled woman who was persuaded to sell her house and send funds to Ghana.

Fadola was arrested by Ghana’s Serious Fraud Office in April 2010. The NCA flew five victims to give evidence against him in 2012 during his lengthy trial in Ghana.

What did Ghana do differently about the cocain ship from the South America country of Colombia with Ghanaian involvements and many more drug haul in Ghana. Its unhelpful at this stage to try and pass the buck now when the drug found its way into Ghana unarrested and, got through Ghanaian security check points at Kotoka Airport undetected and, suddenly nationality identification is being sought after to give credence to the usual Ghanaian Ostrich behaviour of burying their heads in the sand while telling the rest of the world Ghanaians are saints and decent people with credibility. The woman is known to the NDC gov't and party. Indeed, she managed to cart bag-loads of "ndro boni" in the full glare of NACOB and BNI operatives at Kotoka International airport, through the VVIP lounge. Indeed, the story had it that, the Ghana mission in the UK was to meet the lady at the center of this NDC drug bust, at Heathrow. So what exactly is Mr. Smith talking about?
You see when the NDC gov't does these things, it hurts the country. It's just unnecessary. Victor Smith should not be engaging in this kind of politicking and rhetoric. It's just sooo needless.
The Mahama NDC gov't should stop digging, and address the canker of NDC drug mules carting huge tonnes of drugs through the country's airport with the connivance of some unscrupulous security personnel, under the banner of diplomacy.
Such attempts to runaway from this NDC drug menace, clearly shows the lack of political will on the part of the NDC gov't and party to stem and address the canker, and indeed, the issue of POLITICAL WILL has been one of the main factors that has been cited for the prevalence and escalation of the drug trade in Ghana and the sub-region, as a hub and a transit point. Surely, the Mahama NDC gov't can do better in reining in the NDC drug mules soiling the name of the country and dragging it in the mud. Ghana deserves better.

Are you(Victor Smith) privy to see any Ghanaian busted at Heathrow Airport? If yes, when last were you privy to see such an incident?

If the lady is required by law to see a lawyer, the British Security will not hesitate to allow her.

The passport on which the woman travelled which the NDC gov't would want Ghanaians to believe was an ordinary passport was issued on the 3rd day of August, 2012, which is exactly about one(1)week and a half, after the death of the Late President John Evans Atta Mills, and John Mahama was sworn in to complete the unexpired term of the late President.
It was also after this episode that over $5billion dollars vanished from the national kitty in just 2 months prior to the elections of 2012.
And Omane Boamah said the woman in question is not known to the NDC party first family. The coincidences and the timing of a lot of things are murky to say the least, just saying.

Victor Smith can please himself, and his disgraced NDC cocaine barons. You were supposed to have met the lady at the Airport to collect her diplomatic bag, and when she was busted, you turned round to disown her, and telling the whole world that, you are yet to confirm her nationality.
Check her passport, and tell the whole wide world the number of times this woman traveled to UK since 2012. And you will have a fair idea, how the NDC cocaine barons have facilitated her travels abroad doing this cocaine business.
The truth of the matter is that the NDC government is deeply involved in this cocaine business, and they see it as the only possible avenue to amass enough wealth to win the 2016 general elections.
The regrettable aspect of the incident is that the Ghanaian diplomatic passport has lost its credibility, and any Ghanaian holding diplomatic passport will no longer enjoy any privileges. And this may be extended to include the president and his entourage, a situation which might bring the office of the president to public ridicule.
Anyway, the NDC government is credited for airlifting $3m to Brazil amid fanfare, and so they are noted for bringing bad News to advertise their incompetence to the whole wide world.
The decision by CAF to hold AFCON 2015 in Equitorial Guinea is another opportunity to send the NDC cacaine barons to that country. Already, a number of them are already there facilitating the business on behalf of the barons,and AFCON 2015 would be icing on the cake.
