It would appear that those in control of the NDC, for the time being, were bent on excluding other bona fide members of the Party who may wish to lay democratic claims to who becomes the next flag bearer of the Party by excluding them even before the mortal remains of the demised President were interred. It is also symptomatic of how political party elites in Ghana and Africa worm their way into the confidences of persons perceived as likely to ascend to power positions for purposes of eventual personal economic gain at the expense of the generality of the mass of Party members and the Nation which every President swears to serve under the Constitution

They have their BUSINESSES ALREADY, THEY HAVE THEIR HOUSES ALREADY, I mean they are WELL TO DO. When the TERM they are supposed to serve is over, THEY HAVE NO PROBLEM LEAVING, BECAUSE THEY HAVE THEIR PERMANENT MEANS OF LIVELIHOOD ALREADY. Politics is NOT for SOLDIERS, CIVIL SERVANTS, TEACHERS and OTHER PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN EMPLOYED BY OTHERS. The introduction of THESE GROUP OF PEOPLE into politics is the BEGINNING OF CORRUPTION, TRIBAL DIVISION, HATRED, INSULTS, STEALING and all the other bad things we witness in politics today. WHERE DOES THE POOR MAN GO AFTER HIS TERM OF OFFICE IS OVER? This is where the TROUBLE BIGINGS. HE/SHE has to prepare himself/herself for that. ELECTORAL FRAUD, CORRUPTION, STEALING MONEY THAT DOES NOT BELONG TO THEM, SPEND TIME INSULTING HIS OPPONENT because he is a threat to his livelihood, PAY HIS WAY THROUGH ELECTIONS (that is, giving gifts for votes) and all other bad things that does not help the nation, but serve the interest of that individual. Dr. part of our problem is because Govt has arrogated so much responsibility to itself and so its sinking. Adenta is a thriving community with some well to individual who pay taxes. Why cant we find a way for some of these taxes to stay in Adenta and then using their own community partnerships engage the services of contractors with some govt help to have their roads constructed, build local community good public schools, health centers, parks, recreational centers. Govt contracting able companies both local and foreign to provide water and electricity . Considering current tariffs it is very achievable. My house is three times the size of my friend in Ghana but we pay about the same for electricity even though I use central air conditioner and more gadgets than him.

Oh Dr I wish I could pull from the Daily Graphic and Ghanaian Times the many times we have heard this. Many of such statements have been made in the past and yet Adentan residents never witnessed any free flowing of water. My advice us that the Government remains silent until the water starts flowing. There has been many if such hollow promises, so please keep your mouth shut until the water flows and then you can open your mouth and "water is flowing 24 hours at Adentan".
