You don't know nothing. Nobody is saying that GNPC can not go for a loan. We are saying that the should do the right thing. Simple thing, what is preventing the GNPC to pass it through Parliament? That is what the Constitution is saying. When the company is allowed to that, it will serve as precedent for other companies to do the same and it will be bad for Ghana's economy. If the gentleman is not aware no law in the any country is bigger than the country's Constitution, otherwise there will be indiscipline in the system. So please Mr. Lamse I think I have educated you here, without insulting you. Just tell your pay masters to do the right thing, period.

The secretive nature of the loan contracting process, which sought to circumvent the constitution in such an international transaction, clearly shows that, the whole staggering amount of almost $1billion dollars, was clearly bound for the deep personal looting pockets of the Mahama-led NDC gov't and it's family and friends looting brigade, using Ghanaian's collective resource, which is our oil, for their personal aggrandizement, predicated on a law, which is convoluted at best, and when subjected to rigouous legal scrutiny, condemns that proposed loan agreement with the international creditors, to a fiasco and a breach.
The action of GNPC in seeking to contract this loan amount vis-à-vis the provisions of the Petroleum management bill and the constitutional provisions with respect to such loan amounts, is mightily untenable, and vastly incongruous with PNDCL 64, and same cannot serve as a strong foundational basis, for such an agreement, and the Alex Mould-John Mahama appointed GNPC head honcho, from all indications, has engaged in a malapropos manner, in seeking to appropriate this loan amount on the blindside of Parliament and the citizenry.
It is perverse, unapt and inappropriate position advanced by the John Mahama NDC appointed AG, in seeking to adduce validity to the said loan agreement, and needs to be curtailed.
The intentions of the GNPC might well be good, however, the process embarked upon is wrong, smacks of a loot, which would not be out of place by any stretch, if past and present events are anything to go by, judging from the fact that, reasons cited for the loan amount as put out there by the Alex Mould-led GNPC, and what is actually, on the contract documents, it is alleged, are clearly at variance and loggerheads, with what the GNPC is letting on.
Further prodding should paint a much clearer picture, and further buttress the need to ensure that, the loan is subjected to Parliamentary scrutiny, to provide the needed safeguards, and checks and balances, with the ultimate objective being transparency and accountability.

It seem the word "politicise or politisation" has become one of your lexicons. You fond of concluding every issue in the scope of politics - Boy Kofi! I think you took time to read the article carefully and with your literacy level, you can judge for yourself what people you think are opposition to the government are talking about. It is a law drawn in a past Military Government which GNPC is trying to use to secure this loan instead of the laws under current Democratic Government.
Discerning Ghanaians want GNPC use the right channel to secure the loan than going by the back door. If it is a legitimate loan with good intentions, why should they use an obsolete law to contract the loan. I am now agreeing to a statement made by Dr. Kwabena Agyei of NDC in the early part of this year when he said that "There are bunch of NDC supporters who will never change their voting pattern no matter what". Think about this statement very carefully and draw your conclusion. Simple put, what he means is that, majority of NDC voters no matter their literacy level are fools and cannot differentiate right from wrong and would always follow the multitude. What is politics in this issue - Boy Kofi?

What every Ghanaian should ask is: is the Constitution the Supreme Law of Ghana? If the answer is yes, then all the noise about PNDC Law whatever is baseless. The CEO of GNPC has no case and no argument. He should place his intended loan before Parliament or he should forget about. We are not interested at this stage of its benefits we are interested in ensuring that the right body, Parliament, discusses it and decide on its approval or not.
It is unfortunate that the Minister of Justice and Attorney General gave her blessing to Mr Mould to proceed.

It appears Mr. Mould has something to hide. He should be made to understand that GNPC is a public institution, and therefore, subject to constitutional provisions. He should also be made to understand that the PNDC law he is relying on, is in conflict with the 1992 constitution and when such situation arises the constitution prevails. His unyielding posture smacks of a hidden agenda. Afterall nobody is preventing him from securing a loan for public good. All that is needed is accountability. Therefore, he should seek parliamentary approval for the loan as per the 1992 constitutional provision.

Is not time Ghana makes its government or administration less attractive and non-profitable to relief this country out of preys and economic looters. They just go for the administration to steal and destroys everything , leaving the millions of populace in total hardships. There must be system that checks and punishes every government after its tenure. Our economy have been destroyed since decades by reckless men and women ,selfish and wicked , using codes and foolish laws to protect their bootins ,making themselves , free even in plain evidences of corruptions. It is very clear from evidences that those who loot, steal are the very top servants of the government or have collaborated to every loss of states finance. It is even more insdious in the case of Mahama , where naked stealing is encouraged by a fake government . Massive borrowing in the name of the state whiles the money goes to private pockets. Make laws to arrest these culprits, jail them severely and confiscate their assets to discourage these practices to make governments non profitable institution. Who will ever trade his commodities to the starvation of his real kingdom ? Idiots !
