And you're saying Ghanaian shops don't share this practice? They are the worst. Regardless, it's shameful and all guilty should be appropriately punished.

Only GH¢9,600.00 for selling expired goods which verges on human health, discharging human faeces into public drain which could easily have been responsible for the recent cholera outbreak and pilling refuse on premises; another health hazard.
Frankly they should leave them to go free because for such serious criminal acts and you fine them only that amount is insulting to Ghanaians.
Don't we have any pride? If such a crime were too be committed in the US or other western countries, the punishment would have been severe; leading to hundreds of thousand of dollars if not millions with the possibility of closing down the establishment and jailing the management.
As it is only GH¢9,600.00 was slapped on them. Or is it possible, they "negotiated" the amount? Reading the story has rather angered me against LaDMA. They really failed their citizens.

Wowwww!! These are serious health issues. Koala should be closed. This is not the first time they have been cited for selling expired goods, coupled with endangering public health through shit bombing public drains.

This fine is a fraction of their daily turnover. Daily! But the effect of the discharged faeces alone(cholera spreading) will last for months. Was the judge bribed?

Osu was once the pride of many Ga citizens until greed and get rich quick schemes got in all of Accra. The poor saps in most authentic traditional Ga areas of Accra could not help but bow down in shame while they sold entire prime commercial zones to foreigners even as governments from J.J. Rawlings administration to current government looked on. Instead of the government(s) of Ghana having the balls to say there are just some areas or things in Ghana’s designated metro areas that are beyond sale to foreigners, our foresight lacking and unwise leaders stood idle by. Not every citizen in Ghana is smart and sometimes what is good for individuals may not always be good for the nation as a whole. And anyone who says we should let free market principles rule I say hogwash. The mother of all the free market economic activities, the USA, did not allow the sale or ownership and or administration of some of its ports and harbors by foreigners; now we can shove that silly idea of monkey hear monkey do out and practice what is good for Ghana.
Why do officials think owners of Koala could have the balls of brass as monkey to release fecal material into the drainage system in Accra? Yes they see Ghanaians to be wallowing in filth and deservingly so. Is the amount of 9,000 cedi fine supposed to be a deterrent or a joke on Ghana? The store has deliberately polluted streets where drains spill over road sections in town not to mention the smell pollution that savage the sense of smell of people who visit and live in the area of town?

The public toilet on the Obom road in Kasoa is also connected to the public drain thereby discharging faeces into it. The first on the left from the junction.

Ghanaians and patrons of that should should blacklist it and not shop from there. We are told their products are cheqap but it is all sicknesses that they are selling to customers by rebranding expired goods. This is the second time that such a practice there has come out. A few years ago, the shop was reported to have been rebranding expired goods. FDB moved to shut it down until the owner came out to apologise.
