It would appear that those in control of the NDC, for the time being, were bent on excluding other bona fide members of the Party who may wish to lay democratic claims to who becomes the next flag bearer of the Party by excluding them even before the mortal remains of the demised President were interred. It is also symptomatic of how political party elites in Ghana and Africa worm their way into the confidences of persons perceived as likely to ascend to power positions for purposes of eventual personal economic gain at the expense of the generality of the mass of Party members and the Nation which every President swears to serve under the Constitution

How does the AU expect a smooth transition to civilian democratic rule in a mere 2 weeks period in a country that has experienced decades of military rule? About a year is enough time to make a smooth and decent transition from military to civilian administration. Much as I detest military interventions/dictatorships there is only a thin line on the continent between military and civilian led administrstions. The only difference is perhaps soldiers are confined to their military environment and stay out of sight as much as possible. Our democratic administrations must govern in such a way that both the civilian and members of the various security agencies will feel their needs are well catered for.

What's so called AU and what does it formed for?presumably it doesn't make a mere sense at all and it should be dissolved simple because non of any african leader have common sense else they would have not sell their conscience seeking aid from Westerners whilst the Africa continent had been blessed with all the natural resources!due to their greedy and evil powers

AU didn't see anything wrong for allowing one person to rule B. Faso for 27 consecutive years. After 27years in power, what prudent policies did Campoare had for the Country?

And, you now have the audacity to give Zida a two-week ultimatum to handover. What efficient procedures does the AU has for Zida to use in selecting the right civilian to lead Burkina within two weeks?
