O Lord I pray for Mother Ghana, that you reduce the number of FOOLISH VOTERS in 2016. Father the small number that will be left, wash their faces with sea sand so that they would be able to see the predicament they have put Ghana in through their foolish action, and change for the better. I pray that you let them vote this USELESS and CLUELESS GOVERNMENT out. Let those who these FOOLISH VOTERS envy because they are prospering as a result of which they vote foolishly so that they will be equal with them prosper even more. Father let those who are sympathetic to these USELESS VOTERS stop giving them money when they come begging, so that they will realize 'Ghana is hard', and vote wisely this time round. Lord, there are too many office to office beggars in Ghana, that is a sign of poverty, kick those who encourage this out of office. Merciful Father, too many FOOLISH VOTERS who have no sense of dignity are rewarded with trips to soccer matches only to go and sleep on the floor in foreign land, and eventually seek asylum, stamp that disgraceful spirit out of Ghana. Ghana had about 1bln dollars in reserve when Nkrumah took over the reins of government in this country. Could you imagine what the value of one billion dollars was in the early fifties? Again, after 2years of his rule, cocoa prices at the world market rocketed and increased four-fold. But contrary to any sound economic planning, he did not reserve any fraction of the windfall for a rainy day, as the Whiteman had done with only one fourth of the revenue he got from cocoa. So, apart from revenues from gold and other natural resources, what did Nkrumah do with at that huge money from the astronomical cocoa prices and the big reserve he inherited, which took many years to build for our financial stability and sustainable development?

He just went on a spending spree both in Ghana and around the world, throwing his weight about and talking big. So when the cocoa prices fell close to the end of his rule, he was quick to point accusing fingers at the West, blaming them for manipulating cocoa prices to sabotage the economy of Ghana and overthrow his government. Finally, after misusing all the money mainly on useless prestigious projects, failed communist agricultural projects and whimsical mad-rush industrialization projects that did not withstand the test of time, he also burdened the young nation with another billion dollars' debt before he was forced out of the country.

The truth is that, Kwame Nkrumah met a rich, confident country with a stable economy, and left it nearly bankrupt in few years as a result of gross mismanagement.

With this attitude I think we should rather target 2020 because 2016 is a lost cause. Our task is made impossible by the kind of flag bearer with so many question marks all over him. Let's only hope our enemies don't ask the following questions:
1) Who killed Nana's first wife?
2) Why would anyone leave Oxford and come to Legon? There must be a terrible secret Nana does not want us to know. Ghanaians must be wondering why they should vote for someone who is hiding his past.
3) The Wikileaks papers revealed how all the foreign embassies have copious records on Nana's wee smoking and involvement with drug barons;
4) Some sinister Ghanaians still the video in their phones showing Nana fondling a married woman in a GBC studio.

Let's be more realistic and start rallying behind Alan for 2020.

If not, who was corrupt more than Kuffour and his ministers including Nana Addo who sold properties of the state at a ridiculous prices to themselves? They are hungry and cannot get that cheap money they use to get and loans without repayment that was given them at the expense of the state.

Most Ghanaians and majority of Ghanaian politicians are corrupt but it depends on the level and ability to mobilise resources to develop the country. Irrespective of the political party - NDC, NPP, CPP, etc, the majority of these politicians are corrupt. But let's be candid - NDC from its so called socialist platform is not able to create wealth but rather good at looting the wealth existing. This is a syndrome of fake socialist who preach socialism and leave in mansions at the mercy of their foot soldiers or the poor Ghanaian who share a one bedroom, kiosk or on the street.

On the other front is the NPP which is more a central right party believe in entrepreneurship, the private sector and ability of individuals to create wealth just as Germany and most develop nations have accomplished. the NPP is business oriented and comes with politicians and managers who have been tested, created wealth and managed industries. The NPP is not corrupt free but they create the wealth and brings improvement and siphon their share.

Out of these two evils - the NDOC sucks your blood without giving you any means of nutrition to be able to sustain you. On the other hand the NPP sucks slowly on your blood but makes sure that you have more than enough to survive and possibly explore your opportunities.

Fellow Ghanaians - the verdict is your put aside your tribal, ethnic political affiliation and ask yourself do you want your blood to be sucked without any replenishment or to be sucked slowly but enough replenishment of nutrition to survive, escape and possibly make it in life.

On the refurbishment of Ghana's Parliament.
The ongoing discourse on the furnishing of the Ghana parliament is not about the furniture but our cultural identity as a nation, promoting our manufacturing sector and legacy for our children. I've not physically seen the furniture in question but from the pictures it represents a feeling of a conference room in a 4 star cheap hotel attempting to promote itself as a 5 star facility with the bearings of cheapness.

A parliament represents people's cultural heritage and identity, the symbols. If as a nation we are serious, which we are not irrespective of which political party we belong to see our law makers not embrace our cultural symbols and heritage but rather go for cheap looking furniture but with high financial cost then it questions the decay in the Ghana body politik. Not long ago, our Honourable President, John Mahama made a statement that he is all the going to embrace made in Ghana - this action of parliament is an insult to the statement by the Hon. President but actually it is an evidence of the decay in which Ghana operates and functions. It seems there is no sense of direction, leadership and purpose, which has manifested in to what is happening in the country. As Achibe puts it in his novel Things Fall Apart the centre can not hold. The rot at the top has penetrated all angles of life of the poor Ghanaian.

When a nation is building on the capacity and competitive of its manufacturing sector capacitating them may include making mistakes and learning from those mistakes - the finishing touches of some local manufacturing firms are below international standards, however, it is through this learning curve that we build their capacity to be able to compete.

We are drowning as a nation with a leadership both the executive and legislature who lack vision to move the country forward. The mood and mentality of a nation state and for that matter a country depicts the type of leadership it has......Ghanaians don't be surprise of the type of leadership we have as this is what we called for or imposed on us by a weak judiciary.

Ghanaians wake up as you have been fooled and taken for a ride for a long time.

Ghanaians can however remember so many long lasting policies and programmes introduced by the NPP i the 10yrs they have had in Ghana's 57yrs. They include, teak tree planting, health insurance, NYEP, LEAP, MASS tarnsport, school feeding, capiation, Computer selection, Single Spine salaray structure, tier two pension scheme,bui dam, Tettey Quarshie interchange, N1 highway etc etc, yet they are blamed for the problems NDC is facing today.
