I don't believe NPP is behind the present wave of strikes. As far as I understand it, NPP is only highlighting the failings and excesses of the government, hopping that it would translate into votes for the party in the next elections. And that is, in fact, a genuine legitimate politics. Everybody in Ghana knows that cost of living under this NDC government is unbearable, and NPP could be seizing the opportunity to tell Ghanaians not to vote for NDC in the next elections. Frankly, I don't see anything wrong with highlighting the failings and excesses of an incapable government in order to wrestle power from it democratically. NDC is the cause of the strikes because of corruption, over spending, reckless borrowing and economic mismanagement that brought untold hardship on Ghanaians.

Unless it is the UP group in power, everything the government does is bad! Abah!!! We are fed up with these saboteurs. Handsome Mr Alex Mould, please go ahead and develop GNPC into an oil giant like the counterparts in other oil producing countries. If it requires one trillion US$ go ahead and borrow for the majority of Ghanaians are behind you. If NPP are annoyed they can go and drain the Korle Lagoon, or level the Lavendar Hill. Bastards!!!!!

And what is worse about it all is, nobody is held responsible for their doings,because parties in Government thinks,they can`t punish their own,so at the end of the day it is the good people of Ghana who suffers.

Can John Mahama be kept in the dark, when an amount of almost $1billion dollars is going to hit the vaults of BoG, and can such a outrageous, lawless, outlandish and ridiculous action be taken without, the approval of John Mahama, and also, without the knowledge of Amissah Arthur, the head of the economic management team of John Mahama?
How can such a stunt even take place without going through parliamentary approval?
Obviously, if this story happens to be true, then a complete and total breach of the laws and the constitution of the country has occurred involving the Mahama NDC gov't and it's appointee at the GNPC, involving Ghana's assets, showing clearly that, the Mahama NDC gov't has absolutely no respect for the law, aside of reeling from it's credibility deficit, and a huge earth-shattering vote of no confidence in his administration.
It stands to reason that, from this deal, the tsunami of create, loot and share, obliterating Ghana's fortunes under the Mahama NDC gov't, has touched down at the GNPC, and Ghana is the worst for it.

GNPC should also be questioned about the authority by the Chief Executive officer to pre finance the national soccer team, the Black Stars. It is a conduit for siphoning state funds into private pockets.
It is quite patent that the GNPC is funded by government,and has not made any profits since its establishment. How come that a state establishment that does not make profit is allowed to sponsor the Black Stars?
The GNPC must be told in no uncertain terms to stop sponsoring the Black Stars, and use the money to create jobs for the unemployed.
The Chief Executive officer must be probed immediately. Who authorized him to contract loans without parliamentary approval? People like this must go to jail, but trust John Mahama to pat his shoulders, and congratulate him for a good job done.
