IN fact we have fools governing Ghana. When did they know they need new chairs and what quantity they needed at what cost?
There is a deliberate intention to slight Ghana Made goods and just jump on anything foreign. I don't think these fools just woke up on October 1, 2014 and suddenly realized they have to make adjustments to accommodate the new 45 MPs that stupid old man Afari Gyan stubbornly rushed through before the 2012 elections. They must have known of this fact since 2012.
Two years has elapsed since that reality dawned on us, what stopped them from giving a local manufacturer two years or even one year advance notice to produce 300 chairs? Certainly they could have produced at least one-chair per day if delivery date was set at October 31, 2014. It is all about milking the system through contract bidding. Many Ghanaian contractors even don't get paid promptly for projects they have executed for and on behalf of the government, but these NDC fools will find the means to send our money to China and give manufacturers over there jobs and employment whereas our very own have to sack their employees. Fools are in charge, I swear.

He should rather have told us when the decision was first taken to refurbish the place with the furniture in question and then how many local companies they contacted before traveling all the way to China. Truth is that they knew exactly what they were doing and it wouldn't have made any difference if they needed two years to instal the equipment. They would have gone to China all the same.

NDC's thievery and looting is still in force. Somehow, someway they've succeeded in pulling a fast one on everybody before people could become aware of what was going on.
The deputy majority leader's comments isn't acceptable! Parliament should have waited for better pricing and quality items to be installed. But wanting to defend their dubious schemes he suggests that; "there was no way the House could have waited for a local furniture producer to produce the 300 chairs and tables because they had set October 2014 to move in." That statement isn't true; there was no need for anyone to rush to refurbish parliament.

The most useless parliamentarians and head of government ever assemble in the nation to steer its affairs. Mr. Agbessi's comment is utmost nonsense and only fools will buy his crap.
First of all, when did parliament thought of and agreed on these refurbishment and contracted a Chinese company for the job? It was posted yesterday that a team of 10 people were sent to China for this purpose where some house members wanted to know why such number travelled to China for that deal.
If Mr. Agbesi wants us to know that parliament is out of its sense to think ahead of time in this minor decision making, then I am of the opinion that they are all bunch of idiots who are been paid from the tax payers sweat for nothing good coming out of it. Mr. Agbesi's excuse is beyond comprehension taking into consideration that the 10-man team went to China in August to shop around and came with their choice of a Furniture company, who were able to manufacture the 300 chairs and tables and ship it to Ghana and have it put in place together with carpeting and connection of those information gadgets within that short time is completely impossible.
I recently ordered 3-end tables(coffee tables) and 1-Ottoman (Centre-table) from a reputable Furniture Company, it took almost 6-weeks for the items to be at my place of abode. I believe the deal was hatched long time ago than what Mr. Agbesi wanted the nation to know. If the government likes foreign product which could have been locally acquired, what the hell should it come and tell the citizens to patronize in made in Ghana goods? Now Omane-Boamah should stop his nonsense that, Mahama does what he talks.
The most useless, provocative and weak argument put forward by Mr. Agbesi is the contents in the last paragraph. quote "“It is not the issue that because we said we have to use made-in-Ghana goods then if you want to buy 300 furniture at the end of this week, you have to go from shop to shop taking different furniture… the furniture must be the same, and we could not go from one company to the other."
Tax payers wanted to know what was spend on these shady deal of sending 10-man contingent to travel to China to shop for furniture. A total disgrace to useless people doing government business.

Heartless Ghanaians who hardly walk their talk. So the concept of 'buy made-in Ghana goods is a mere talk. What a pity! I cry for my beloved country.
This is the most stupid explanation one can think of. Is this fool a member of our parliament? Oh mother Ghana I weep for you.
Every single Parliamentarian should not return to the House in the next election. How can these people run a country, over the years not a single MP has done anything good for the country.
That si not true, it takes at least more than a month to ship an item from china to ghana
this not stop bashing of the government is become unbearable. You "honourables" are all well aware that most Ghanaians are poor and are struggling to make ends meet but you gladly take those BLOODY end of service benefit payo ...

Simply put, the governance of our beloved country, Ghana has been commercialized by our greedy, selfish, and visionless so-called leaders.
Hon Agbesi how will Ghana promote made in Ghana goods ? It is unfortunate to heard our MPS saying this. No jobs and you sent jobs to Chinese.
2016 is their last sitting on these chairs and they will be missing them come 7th January 2017.
Mahama is useless and waste and has no place in Ghanaian politics than in a dustbin. This is a president who relies only on propaganda, stupid and irresponsible promises to rule. Bringing in chairs and tables from China for ...

We need a full accounting of the total costs and who was paid to do the work.
Why were you rushing ? If one company couldn't at least two or three companies could have teamed up to do that the place looks like China parliament from the picture .Its all about chop chop selfish poeple
SAME WOOD NEEDED COULD BE USED WITH DIFFERENT COMPANIES WITH SAME BLUEPRINT OR DESIGN OR ARCHITECTURAL DRAWINGS.
WHO ARE YOU FOOLING ?
Ghana made furniture would have been better than something from China. I'm disappointed in government.
You can contract more than one, two, three or four local manufacturers to produce the same one and they will al be ready on time. Stop that excuse of not being able to get someone to do it in ghana. Do what you preach!
The most useless parliamentarians and head of government ever assemble in the nation to steer its affairs. Mr. Agbessi's comment is utmost nonsense and only fools will buy his crap.

you failed to report on what the minority leader said but went on to report on Agbesi. SHAME ON YOU PEACEONLINE. Your evil deeds have betrayed you.
This Govt tells Ghanaians to patronize made in Ghana goods yet they go to China to buy common chairs which is easily produced in Ghana. Because they can do corruption.
Corruption made them to go to China to buy common chairs.
